Hewlett Packard Enterprise is a global technology leader focused on developing intelligent solutions that allow customers to capture, analyze and act upon data seamlessly from edge to cloud The WW Supply Chain Policy & Compliance Senior Analyst will partner closely with the Global Supply Chain Finance Organization, providing technical accounting guidance, supply chain deal consultation, contract review, mergers and acquisitions integration support and assist in documenting processes and accounting guidance for HPEs supply chain management on a global basis This person will also ensure the integrity of key processes by understanding systems, flow of transactions, and internal controls and recommending efficiency and effectiveness improvements This exciting new role will report to the WW Supply Chain Technical Accounting Manager within the Enterprise Financial Reporting (EFR) group

Specific Responsibilities

Ensure supply chain, inventory and warranty accounting policies are applied consistently on a worldwide basis and in accordance with US GAAP
Consult and advise business partners in complex contract reviews to achieve desired outcome
Play a proactive role in the management of the accounting close
Review existing processes & controls and drive process improvement initiatives that impact the function globally
Review and continue to develop company policies in the areas of supply chain, inventory and warranty based on new accounting guidance and any changes in the business environment
Lead M&A integration and policy harmonization efforts for supply chain
Develop and maintain working relationships across Supply Chain Finance, Global Procurement, Legal and other organizations involved in supply chain
Engage with external and internal auditors on audit inquiries
Mentor team members in a way that enhances efficiency, effectiveness, and team work
Participate in and/or lead company-wide projects that impact supply chain management accounting

Education and Experience Required

First level university degree with a focus in accounting, finance or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (eg, CPA, MBA) strongly preferred
At least 3-5 years of public accounting experience with one of the leading firms
7 years of overall experience in accounting or finance
Previous supply chain, inventory, and warranty experience is not required, but is a significant plus

Knowledge and Skills

Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
Ability to work across time zones and to establish close working relationships with cross-functional teams
Excellent analytical skills
Working knowledge of leading ERP systems
Superior communication and influencing skills
Superior teamwork skills
