The Warranty Finance Manager is responsible for financial decision-support for warranty as the liaison between Hardware and Services This role provides a unique point of view across all HIT businesses (HW & Pointnext) It requires strong partnership and collaboration with business leaders in a complex environment across many organizations and functions The role ensures that warranty initiatives are strategically focused, operationally supported and aligned to internal and external policies

This Finance Manager will report directly to the VP of Finance with the ability to influence cross-business management decisions, drive change and best practices Must ensure the financial reports, analyses and metrics are clear, concise and meaningful Drives the forecasting process for warranty (monthly and long-term) by analyzing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives Communicates and drives adherence to GAAP and the organizations financial goals and policies

Primary Responsibilities

Manages and develops a team of six individual contributors that typically support a large and complex business
Responsible for hiring employees and setting clear goals aligned to HPE and Global Operations Strategy
Provides performance feedback, coaching and development plans Ensures employees are recognized, engaged and connected to the HPE finance and business communities
Ensures accuracy and timeliness of warranty reporting and analysis to finance and the businesses
Provides accurate monthly forecasts for warranty costs and reserves
Provides leadership for the annual Budget setting cycle
Consults with business leaders to drive and influence strategic decisions with regards to warranty-related initiatives
Ensures compliance with Sox Controls and manages interactions with internal and external auditors Ensures relevant documentation is updated regularly
Pro-actively drives process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact warranty finance
Leads Next Gen IT transition for Warranty Finance
Manages the integration of acquisitions into the Warranty Finance processes
Provides ad-hoc analysis in support of executive decisions

Education and Experience Required

First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree and/or accounting certification (eg, CPA, MBA) strongly preferred

10 years of experience in a finance function

2 years of supervisory and/or leading a project team experience

Required Knowledge and Skills

Positive attitude and ability to collaborate across multiple organizations
Excellent communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences
Strong people management skills, including managing teams across countries
Exceptional analytical skills with ability to understand business drivers, their impact on the business and ability to develop recommendations
Solid accounting skills and ability to move seamlessly between P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements
High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and ability to take charge, set objectives and drive to results
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to work across multiple HPE systems
