As a Business Planning and Operations Lead in the Volume Servers business unit, the person in this role will contribute to the success of the business by supporting the senior leadership team with their business management cadence, budget management, financial analysis, process improvements, and strategic initiatives

Business Management Cadence Manage the operational cadence includes planning, coordinating and leading the organization meetings, capturing & tracking action items to closure and producing operational reports to effectively drive the business In addition will be responsible for overseeing and the creation of presentations required by the senior leadership team

Budget Management Forecast, balance, and track the budget for the BU Budget activities include balancing the Business Unit (BU) budget on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis The person in this role will work closely with Finance to ensure alignment Each year, lead the annual budget planning process

Financial Analysis Defines the metrics required to measure business performance, compares actual data to forecasted values, and develops the process for identifying and addressing performance gaps

Process improvements Improve efficiency and accuracy of deliverables from Volume team and find ways to assist them to deliver on time with quality, monitor team activities and recognize when escalations are necessary

Strategic initiatives Lead complex business strategy initiatives Develop recommendations for optimizing business and financial performance Manage large, cross-functional teams and communications Provide thought leadership and counsel the business leader


Execute on directions/actions from business leaders
Program manages the organizations projects and activities aligned with priorities
Works with cross-functional teams across the entire span of business planning activities
Manages complex, time- sensitive market research projects and synthesizes data and information to identify relevant trends and next steps
Works closely with business leaders to develop business plans based on historical and forecasted data and reports
Develops go-forward business plan recommendations based on potential risks and returns
Manages complex data and business analyses to develop business plans and make recommendations
Defines the metrics required to measure business performance, compares actual data to forecasted values, and develops the process for identifying and addressing performance gaps
Identifies cutting-edge analytical tools, models, and methods for making key business decisions
Plans, coordinates & leads organization meetings such as business forums

Education and Experience Required

Typically 4-6 years experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area
Advanced university degree (eg MBA) or demonstrable equivalent
Experience in the Telco Industry is preferred

Knowledge and Skills

Demonstrated knowledge of research methodology and the ability to manage complex data requests
Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills
Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis
Extensive knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, Information Design, statistical analysis, and financial modeling
Qlik tools knowledge and experience preferred
Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility
Very strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong project management and organizational skills
Developed relationship management skills
Ability to lead cross-functional teams
Ability to identify and summarize relevant trends from market and industry data
Works independently
