The Morgan Stanley Virtual Engagement Associate (VEA) role is a unique opportunity to prepare and develop the skillset for a career in the Wealth Management division of the financial services industry VEA Annuity Planning Sales Associate will work in a centralized location to provide virtual support to Financial Advisors They will focus primarily on generating operating leverage and faster growth through the consistent deployment of digital tools that disseminate relevant content and analyses to clients and prospects Position Summary The VEA -Annuity Planning Associate (APA) is responsible for teaming with senior members on the desk to help drive sales and marketing of the annuity and insurance product line to Financial Advisors This individual will work in a dynamic internal-desk team environment After product and communication training, and successful ongoing evaluations, the APA will work in tandem with senior members of the sales team The VEA-APA will assist team members in sourcing and organizing opportunities within Advisors books of business They will field inbound calls surrounding product questions and case design as well as escalate issues for resolution Assist senior members in educating Financial Advisors on the unique capabilities of annuities and insurance as a solution to a complete financial plan They will also work closely with Insurance Carrier Internal and External Wholesalers to coordinate and leverage their time and resources Virtual Engagement Associate Annuities Planning Sales Desk Job Responsibilities Become a subject matter expert on all annuity and insurance products available through our platform Field incoming calls from Financial Advisors and provide world-class level of service Efficiency with data mining opportunities using various Morgan Stanley tools to uncover opportunities within an Advisors book of business Learn carrier and MS systems to effectively research and service existing contracts Develop and maintain insurance carrier relationships with Internal and External Wholesalers Work closely with the senior sales member and sales desk manager to develop and implement effective territory strategies, including follow-up and prospecting calls Proficiently deliver departments sales presentations Partner with senior sales member and their counterpart, the ISD (Insured Solutions Director), to increase year-over-year annuity sales in territory Make proactive outbound sales calls to Financial Advisors to promote annuities and provide actionable sales ideas


Virtual Engagement Associate - Annuities Planning Sales Desk Job Requirements 2 years of experience in Annuity & Insurance Industry or related industry preferred Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 (or equivalent) State Life Insurance License Must hold a Bachelors degree, 2 years of financial services experience or related industry preferred Detail oriented with an ability to handle multiple priorities Capacity to meet daily number of touches Able to multi-task and to shift resources Ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems Ability to work efficiently under pressure Strong verbal and written communication skills required
