US Retirement Benefits Analyst / Administrator - ( HUM0000OK )


The companys service portfolio consists of a comprehensive range of business solutions related to engineering, architecture, construction, operations and maintenance and scientific and specialty consulting

The Senior Benefits Analyst will report to the US Benefits Manager and work closely in the design, administration, communication, compliance and reporting of the companys US employee benefit plans and policies This role is responsible, at the direction of the Plan Manager, to support the day-to-day administration, member communications, compliance, governance, process improvement & quality assurance for the frozen and ongoing defined benefit pension plans in the US and the 401(k) plan and non-qualified retirement savings plans In addition, Payroll interfaces, definition of compensation elements, auto-enrollment oversight, match calculation review, escalated issues from participants, invoice payments from the pension trust, quarterly trust funding payments, support of annual audits & 5500s, tracking and assessing Multi-employer pension liabilities, monthly death audits, tax withholding changes for participants and equal to or better than analysis for proposals

Help ensure compliance of Jacobs retirement plans and policies with federal, state and local laws and regulations, with such work to include Form 5500 filings and related audits, annual nondiscrimination testing, maintenance of plan documents and benefit policies, etc
Analyze the competitiveness of Jacobs US benefit plans and policies by completing external surveys, surveying employees and/or peer companies and overseeing benchmark analyses prepared by consultants
Coordinate with Jacobs US Benefits Manager, Payroll, in-house HR service centers, HRIS, IT, Human Resources, third party administrators, vendors/consultants and others as needed
Perform other job-related duties as assigned


Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources/Benefits required, MBA preferred
At least 10 years of relevant work experience
Strong and demonstrated knowledge of ERISA, DOL and IRS requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Strong interpersonal, presentation, project and time management, analytical and problem-solving skills required
Individual must have strong proficiency skills in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
Strong knowledge with HR/benefit HRIS, specifically Oracle (including Oracle Advanced Benefits module) and ADP Payroll required
