The opportunity

To join a global company expanding their local footprint Youll be supporting a team of experienced Energy underwriters wholl play a pivotal role in providing training and development which will facilitate your career progression

Core Responsibilities

Handle basic underwriting tasks, renewals, quotes, endorsements
Screening and checking quality of submissions (requesting additional information/clearing business)
Enter and maintain information in systems and tools used to complete associated tasks
Modify, update, and process changes in applicable tools, systems, and documents, as needed
Preparation of policy documentation
Collaboration with outsourced providers on queries and issues to ensure data quality and accuracy
Setting up and finalizing accounts in the systems (underwriting, pricing, invoices etc) ensuring the highest level of data accuracy
Handling of closings, statements and contract changes during the policy period
Support in premium handling, monitoring and chasing
Create and maintain records both electronically and physically, if required, following established guidelines and processes
Follow established performance standards, metrics and controls applicable to the business unit supported
When errors are detected, proactively contact customer or process owner with inconsistencies found and directions for corrections
Diligently follow-up on outstanding items and documentation About the Team

About you

University Degree or equivalent
Previous experience in Underwriting, ideally with exposure to Energy However, other lines of business will also be considered
Have an interest in pursuing an underwriting career
Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English required Knowledge of other Asian language would be advantageous
A strong team player with ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and integrity
Expert ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data with a sound understanding of numbers
Solutions and results oriented individual with an ability to multi-task
Strong service and client orientation
Strong organisational skills (autonomous)
Microsoft Office intermediate level required Results leadership
