Job SummaryDelivers the overall Lab and Production Services Site Services Strategy to grow and sustain the business by supporting all learning delivery, instructional development and knowledge assets for new and existing the Lab and Production Servicesfield associates Partner with Human Resources and Site Services team to develop and support Lab and Production Services training strategy, execute and implement programs and assess outcomes to identify areas to improve processes and reduce errors to support these objectives Travel to the field is sometimes required


Design and implement training programs to drive associate performance both for new hires and ongoing talent development

Development and execution of a learning and training strategy, vision and action plan to implement dynamic learning systems contributing to the success of the Lab and Production Services organization

Develops training curricula and related materials such as reference guides, participant materials and lesson plans/instructor guides

Use appropriate tools and delivery methods to produce blended learning materials promoting learning through self-study, practice, performance support, socialization and knowledge-sharing including e-learning tools, on-demand training resources (Ancile, Talent Lab), and CBT utilizing live video tools

Coordinates and maintains classes on an annual training schedule

Provides new hire and ongoing skill training solutions to the Lab and Production Services associates in the field

Develops, delivers and maintains orientation training for all levels of associates

Creates assessments that will monitor the skill development of the associates and efficacy of programs

Provide oversight on the mandated compliance training programs to ensure that the programs are developed in coordination with established standards and are properly tracked

Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

College degree required, BS/BA degree in Education, Organization Dev or related field preferred

5 years of relevant industry experience

Thorough knowledge and understanding of Lab and Production Servicessystems and processes preferred

Demonstrated record of developing learning that drives performance improvement

Experience developing to current industry and adult learning standards; e-learning publishing and learning assessment development experience preferred

Must have Intermediate level Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Computer, Internet and PC skills-to deliver training

Must have experience troubleshooting in a technology environment

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)

Demonstrated ability to communicate difficult concepts and processes using clear and simple language and visuals, ability to explain technical topics to novices

Ability to lead and coordinate training/development activities

Excellent writing and editing skills

Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders and managers

Strong communication and organizational skills required

Possesses effective coaching and assessment skills

Must be able to travel to field sites to deliver training on an as-needed basis


Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level Visits to production, warehouse, outdoor, plant, research and university facilities are commonplace

A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis

Travel is necessary to deliver training to field sites including travel to Customer locations and various VWR facilities Overnight travel is occasionally required

Minimal physical effort is required Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs
