About the opportunity

Purpose of your role

The core role is to work on all daily operations directly and take part in special missions Specifically, support trade processing with traders, FIL ISFA, FPCMS, trust banks and global custodian banks on a daily basis; help pursue solutions for operational issues Contribute to company projects

Key Responsibilities

Get involved in daily Trade Operations team activities as a main player to achieve following team tasks

Trade matching for Asia Equity, Fixed income, Derivatives like OTC, CFD, ETD

Trade processing for FIJ funds, send instruction to trustee bank and booking data to Fund accounting team

FX and FOF trade processing

Swift monitor and trade repair station correction

Unmatched/Fail trade control and email follow up with Custodians & Brokers

Follow up enquiry from other counterparty like Cash reconcile team, client service team, etc

Communicate with overseas counterparts in UK, Dublin, Hong Kong, etc to ensure effective and efficient overall back office operations
Coordinate and communicate with other business units to incorporate their needs and account for the procedures
Contribute in team projects and process improvements (System enhancements, Automation, etc)
Conduct daily operations precisely
Escalate issues and comments immediately to managers if something happens
You need to work on shift, like 800am to 500pm or 1000am to 700pm
May need to work extra hours and/or on public holidays basing on operational requirements

Experience and Qualifications Required

Bachelor degree and above in major of Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics
Basic knowledge of Finance or Economics
Good Japanese skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing
Strong English communication skills (reading, writing and conversation)
Detail oriented, good logical thinking
Basic technical skills (ie Excel, MS Word, Outlook)
Ability to identify risk
Sense of urgency and ability to execute
High motivation to the business
Quick learner
Good time management and problem solving skills
Teamwork spirit
