POSITION SUMMARY

The Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) Supervisor is responsible for all operations of the Ft Bragg Transportation Motor Pool and the Pope Field Support Transportation Motor Pool

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES Please list by order of priority and, if possible, provide the percentage of time spent on the activity all should equal 100 PERCENT

Coordinates administrative and operational functions pertaining to the safe transport of service members, DoD civilians, and baggage

Provides 24/7 operations as required to support installation Emergencys, EDREs & Exercises; mobilization support

Coordinates operation and maintenance activities of fleet/automotive equipment department and storage and repair facilities

Coordinates inspections and schedules needed repair or service work

Train subordinate personnel on Vectrus policies, procedures and requirements

Update and maintain current and doctrinally correct operating procedures IAW the DTR, SOPs and industry best practices

Provides information and reports, resolves issues and recommends action to improve delivery services to the customers

Responsible for acquisition of state-required certificates of title and schedules registrations and state inspections

Maintains customer interface and satisfaction with designated contract representatives

Proficiently utilizes collective data system, Federal Automotive Statistical Tool (FAST), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), and the Fleet Management Information System (FMIS)

Conducts meetings, executes plans, prepare reports, plans, and working instructions

Interfaces with customers on transportation and maintenance activities, serves as conduit for work initiation and completion

Analyze and report on metrics related to project performance

Prepares and maintains production reports, man hours required/expended and costs incurred

Develops, executes and provides briefings as directed or required

Plans and directs personnel and required resources for day to day mission support

Development and management of innovative processes and quality management

Prepares and maintains production reports, man hours required/expended and costs incurred

Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED

Computer, multiline telephone, Multi-Function Device (MFD)

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Work performed outside up as required

Work around large moving vehicles

Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform light to moderate physical work in appropriate weather conditions; lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with use of proper equipment

Must possess vision to read printed materials and computer screens; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone

Must be available to work during regular business hours with extended hours, overtime, weekend and holiday work as required

Must be able to travel 25 PERCENT of the year

May performing work in conditions of inclement weather, extreme heat and cold, high/low humidity, blowing sand and dust, and working in confined spaces and at heights

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds

Perform other duties as required that may involve working overtime, weekends, flexible hours and holidays

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certifications One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required

High School Diploma

Comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions related to the Army Maintenance Management System

Comprehensive knowledge of all installed product software at the use/operator level and automated data processing policies and procedures as they pertain to assigned equipment, both LIS and installation desktop computers

Ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers

General knowledge of the logistics information policies & processes, and systems pertaining to Transportation Services

Comprehensive knowledge of the Defense Management, Acquisition, and Use of Motor Vehicles

Secret Clearance preferred

Valid Drivers License

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Sharepoint

Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact at all levels

Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment

Experience

10 years of documented supervisory experience in management, acquisition, and use of motor vehicle operations or other transportation fields

3-5 years Supervisory experience with DoD contracts preferred

Strong documented leadership experience required

Skills

Effective organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills

Customer service experience is required
