POSITION SUMMARY

The TMP Operations Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the installation motor pool operations on Ft Bragg and AR 5-9 Area of Responsibilities and applicable DoD policies and directives

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES

Acts on behalf of the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) Supervisor in their absence, having the same authority and mission

Responsible for ensuring scheduling, dispatching, maintaining vehicles, movement of passengers and cargo, driver qualifications, receiving and issuing vehicles, and maintaining and providing accurate equipment records in accordance with applicable regulations and SOPs

Supervises activities of fleet of vehicles required for the operations of an organization

Recommends vehicles for transfer or replacement and inspects new vehicles

Suggests changes, purchases and divestitures of equipment

Coordinates administrative and operational functions pertaining to the safe transport of servicemembers, DoD civilians and baggage

Coordinates inspections and schedules needed repairs or service work

Provides information and reports, resolves issues and recommends action to improve delivery services to customers

Responsible for acquisition of state required certificates of title and schedules registration and state inspections

Maintains customer interface and satisfaction with designated contract representatives

Coordinates operation and maintenance activities of fleet/automotive equipment

Coordinates inspections and schedules needed repair or service work

Provides information and reports, resolves issues and recommends action to improve delivery services to the customers

Responsible for acquisition of state-required certificates of title and schedules registrations and state inspections

Maintains customer interface and satisfaction with designated contract representatives

Proficiently utilizes collective data system, Federal Automotive Statistical Tool (FAST), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), and the Fleet Management Information System (FMIS) Use and access to other Information Systems (IS) may be required

Conducts meetings, executes plans, prepare reports, plans, and working instructions

Interfaces with customers on transportation and maintenance activities, serves as conduit for work initiation and completion

Analyzes and reports on metrics related to project performance

Prepares and maintains man hours required/expended and costs incurred

Plans and directs personnel and required resources for day to day mission support

Develops and manages innovative processes and quality management

Attends and/or provides briefings as directed or required

Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED

Computer, multiline telephone, Multi Function Divide (MFD), typewriter

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Function in an office environment in a stationary position approximately 50 percent of the time or more

May performing work in conditions of inclement weather, extreme heat and cold, high/low humidity, blowing sand and dust, and working in confined spaces and at heights

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs

Perform other duties as required that may involve working overtime, weekends, flexible hours and holidays

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certifications

High School Diploma

Five (5) years of documented supervisory experience in management, acquisition, or motor vehicle operations

3-5 years supervisory experience on Department of Defense contracts

Ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers

General knowledge of the logistics information policies & processes, and systems pertaining to Transportation Services

Comprehensive knowledge of the Defense Management, Acquisition, and Use of Motor Vehicles

Secret Clearance

Valid Drivers License

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Sharepoint

Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact at all levels

Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment

SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages day to day operations for drivers, dispatchers and maintenance schedulers Has 3-5 direct reports with 60-75 employees with work across multiple sites Work center is open 24/7 and may require weekend or overnight work
