Position Description Lenovos Data Center Group Services is seeking a Technical Support Contact Center Engineer for DM/DE storage products The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a customer-facing environment

The Contact Center Engineer provides technical support to customers, field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems

Job Responsibilities
Isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software
Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering
May be involved in customer installation and training
Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature
Participate in the on-call rotation cycle to address critical customer issues

This engineering position is a key player on the World-Wide Contact Center 24x7x4 support team

Position Requirements Minimum Requirements
3 years of experience with storage products
Strong UNIX/Linux understanding is a must and can include administration and technical support
Microsoft Windows environment configuration, system administration and technical support
Experience with NAS and/or SAN storage and surrounding infrastructure
Experience with Network Attached Storage protocols experience (NFS/CIFS/SMB/iSCSI/IB/RoCE/ATTO) and related required protocols (DNS, NIS, and Active Directory
Good understanding of the following protocols and applications
- NFS, the UNIX remote file sharing protocol
- CIFS/SMB, the Windows remote file sharing protocol
- SAN connectivity methodologies for storage systems
- TCP/IP and Networking
- IB
- RoCE
- SAS
- RAID
Technical Contact Center support experience

Preferred Qualifications
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, professionalism, and customer service communication skills are essential in order to work successfully with customers in high stress and/or ambiguous situations
NetApp hardware platforms and peripheral devices
Data ONTAP operating system and NetApp High-Availability (HA) technology
NetApp Cluster-Mode Storage Solutions and related technologies
The interoperability of enterprise applications (such as Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and SAP) with NetApp storage systems and solutions
Server, and Desktop Virtualization Solutions (such as VMware)

Certifications
- NCSE Ontap Specialist
- NCIE SAN Specialist E-Series
- NCIE SAN Specialist ONTAP
- SCSE SNIA industry Cert
