The Digital Business Solutions (DBS), Customer Experience (CX) Success and

Service role of Black Belt Specialist Consultant for C/4 HANA will report to the Head

of Practice

The Black Belt Consultant role is part of a small, global (regionally independent)

team of elite consulting resources available for special assignments Assignments will

typically be short term, high-profile, and with high Risk / Reward ratio to both SAP and

SAP customers Assignments include those that are unique, mission critical and

projects / programs requiring assistance from resources with SAPs highest level of

product experience and solution knowledge This may include a mix of billable, presales

and internally chargeable assignments

Key Areas of Responsibility and Tasks

C/4 Black Belts may be assigned to assist established teams that require or will benefit from most expert, most

experienced short-term involvement Target audience will include SAP sales, SAP product, DBS project-delivery,

SAP IT, DBS expert consulting and select partner led implementation teams

Assignments will include top strategic sales opportunities (POC Design and Engineering roles), Product and Customer

Innovation (first-time) projects, SAP Strategic Partner programs, SAP internal strategic initiatives (eg SAP runs SAP)

and Escalations or Critical customer engagements

Black Belts will maintain the closest relationship between C/4 HANA Product Development and SAP consulting services

teams under CX Success and Services They will serve as a subject matter expert for the Head of Practice, Practice

Lead and Business Lead for their respective solution area (eg Commerce, Marketing, etc) They will act as a conduit

for feedback from the Field Services and Cloud Adoption Services delivery teams but will also serve as mentors for

those teams in targeted situations

They will also serve as key contributors for best practices creation and sharing This will be in support of customer

facing materials, internally facing (such as CX Works) and content targeted for partners and the broader ecosystem /

community Black belts will work directly with the Ecosystem Enablement team on content, presentations and

certifications as needed

Deployments will range globally with an in region preference to optimize travel time and expense

Experience Required

Recent Experience

Strong understanding of SaaS software deployments & SAP product strategies

Cloud migration or transformation experience preferred

5 years SAP C/4 Consulting experience

Must be extremely detail oriented with specialization on multiple aspects of SAP C/4 HANA software consulting

including Recommended C/4 Suite product strategies, Recommended C/4 Cloud Solution Architecture,

Implementation/adoption strategies, software engineering quality, project best practices, risk assessment,

critical paths and timelines and engineer vs adopt arguments and recommendations

Proven record delivering expert technical topics and presentations to a wide range of audiences including

customer stakeholders, board room executive briefings, industry conferences and high-stakes customer


Proven track record of successfully interacting and assisting teams across different cultures and matrixed team


Currently recognized as a go-to lead resource for unique and high-profile sales and service assignments

Experience with SAPs highest profile customer projects and innovation initiatives

Experienced with Business Travel (Flights, Hotels, Transportation, Visa & Security, Expenses)

Travel (50 PERCENT )

Strong written and oral business communication skills

Must be fluent in English (Written and Verbal), ideally with additional language(s) and international work


Prior Experience

Consulting Professional (worked as a consultant leading billable engagements)

10 years consulting delivery experience (on-premise & cloud) in CRM, Commerce, Customer Data, High

Volume Transaction related IT, and business technologies

6 year related industry experience

3 years of experience in solution covered (ie Customer Data, Marketing, Sales, etc)

2 years software implementation experience

Proficient Working from and creating UML specifications

Proficient System maintenance and monitoring processes

Proficient Systems integration & data model design

Proficient Performance Tuning of solution(s) covered

Proficient Structure and moderate result driven workshops applying appropriate consulting methodologies &

tools, eg business model canvas, decision matrix

Prior Experience Project management and/or providing oversight of teams doing implementation or


Prior Experience Providing technical design assessments

Prior Experience Delivering product training

Prior Experience Project scoping and estimation

Prior experience industry expertise in the respective product area, eg marketing

May require Code (change) management and code deployment methodology

May require Expert level experience in relevant programming languages and/or platforms

May require Providing code quality assessments

Educational Requirements


University degree or equivalent work experience Masters Degree in Business, IT or Management is preferred
