Job Description:

ROLE SUMMARY

The TL/Improver Manufacturing is responsible for Coaching, managing and supervising the utilization of manpower, materials and equipment used for manufacturing and bulk packaging of pharmaceutical products Investigate and document production incidents using M1 methodology Assuring that finished products meets Pfizer standards of identity, strength, quality and purity through GMP compliance Coordinate the production plan manpower schedule, assuring schedule adherence Achieving and maintaining effective relations with all manufacturing personnel and service groups

Lead area operators and mechanical operators assuring production schedule adherence
Ensures plan is executed as per plan/projection
Identify opportunities and implement changes to existing process to improve unit cost, yields, cycle time, and quality issues
Focus on process quality, cost and performance as a key to process improvement
Plans and implements projects related to unit cost, yield improvement, cycle time, and quality issues
Conducts and analyze process data, develops and executes initiatives for process improvements
Compiles problem solving stories
Performs daily T1 huddle with operators and technicians to align shift priorities
Supports the PCT Leader on Coaching and building IMEx capabilities in his/her work centers
Handle investigation (ER) following M1 Methodology
Participate in Tier and CI meeting
Participate in QAR Method 1 analysis
Schedules on a daily basis personnel, materials and equipment to meet production requirements
Assures to keep the area focus based on established strategies by the Manager/TL
Handle conflict such as personnel issues that requires immediate attention In general Manufacturing TL / Improver will take appropriate action
Assist the Manager/Manufacturing TL in administrative duties such as personnel hiring (includes final selection) and performance evaluation (preparation and presentation) process
Prepares and/or approves and coordinates the flow of operational paperwork, such as MMIs, and electronic time cards (Kronos)
Audits and monitors the systems to keep track of operators attendance and worked hours (ie Kronos) The Manufacturing TL / Improver will approve Kronos and will apply formal advice to operators with absenteeism problems
Identifies and coordinates training needs
Coordinates any required service or assistance within areas or units He will also assist in emergencies; will establish priorities for employment of personnel or equipment as needed
Performs special projects and other duties related to his job as required
Works with the Human Resources Dept and Dept Mgr in the development and implementation of Equal Employment Opportunity in the Dept
Prepares and/or coordinates personnel related tasks such as vacation schedules and needs requested by Human Resources Department (physical exams blood test)
Responsible for Schedule adherence
Participates and provides leadership in team efforts for correcting and/or improving plant operations or any necessary team coordination
Foresees and trouble-shoots operational difficulties, taking proper and prompt corrective action
Possesses an intimate working knowledge of area production equipment, such as compounding, tableting, encapsulation, and coating equipment Assists with the administration of the preventive maintenance programs
Provides training to operators (if no covered by other resource) in his area of competition Assist in the development and actualization of training programs or any other activities that will enhance the operators process knowledge
Develops, actualizes and trains personnel on operational instructions
Defines and coordinates overtime and temporary personnel manufacturing needs He will also balance operators crews on modules
Develops, coordinates and implements area projects
Coordinates operators and assign tasks on a daily basis
Coordinates non-production activities such as work orders completion and non-routine special tasks (module modifications, wax floor etc)
Work with materials on the monthly schedule and ensure is in-line with financial commitments
Prepares work orders for area maintenance and repairs
In general Team Leaders are highly experienced and will be assigned to support the process in various tasks related to his experience
Comply with OEE metrics
Assists in maintaining production rates, yields and costs equal to or better than standard
Support on the evaluation and explain financial variances
The TL/Improver Manufacturing will support the Manager/Manufacturing TL in these areas as requested
In depth understanding of cGMPs, applicable European regulations and local government requirements
Proven record of achievement in managing planning, logistics and/or operations projects
Excellent communication skills (oral, written and reading) English and Spanish
Excellent interpersonal, analytical and customer relations skills Strong leadership skills
Must have proven record of team leadership and teamwork skills in a complex fast paced, changing environment so as to deliver value added results to the organization

Education

BS Degree in Science/Engineering/Administration or related field

Experience

A minimum of five (5) years experience related to manufacturing in Pharmaceutical Industry At least three (3) years of total experience should be in major supervision position Fully bilingual

Proven record of achievement in managing planning, logistics and/or operations projects
Excellent communication skills (oral, written and reading) English and Spanish
Excellent interpersonal, analytical and customer relations skills Strong leadership skills
Must have proven record of team leadership and teamwork skills in a complex fast paced, changing environment so as to deliver value added results to the organization
