This role is performed by technical professionals who specialize in providing perform services to clients on hardware and software components Activities include operation and maintenance of operating systems across multiple platforms, middleware applications, various database technologies, high availability solutions and load balancing Job responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following operation and maintenance of operating systems and platform support, database administration, capacity planning, performance management, security compliance Support is also provided for systems management tools which monitor the operational status of the environment

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

3 years experience in the following vSphere 5x and 6x to include vCenter Server for Windows, vCenter Server Linux Appliance and VMware ESXi
vRealize Operations Manager (vROPs/vCOPS)
VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
IBM/Lenovo System X Hardware
Intel (IBM, HP and Dell) Server Hardware
VMware NSX
VMware PowerCLI
VMware Upgrade experience (5x to 6x)
Customer Service Skills

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

Preferred certification or basic knowledge / experience in the following VMware certification
Mid-level Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 experience
Fibre Channel / iSCSI / NFS Technologies / IBM SVC
VCE vBlock / vSAN
VMware HCX
VMware vShield
Horizon 5x and 6x
vCenter Automation Center (vCAC) - vCloud
Cisco UCS Hardware
Cisco UCS Manager / Central management
