System Administrator

Preferred Qualifications

This role is with Oracle managed cloud where the person will be responsible for building and executing automations for all change management and incident management activities in Oracle cloud infrastructure The candidate will be primarily working in Oracle cloud which is spread across multiple data centers in US, EMEA, APAC and LAD regions

Experience 7 years

Education Qualification B Tech/ M Tech / MCA / BE or equivalent experience or combination of related education and experience

Roles & Responsibilities

Automate day to day operation tasks

Manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Lead the design, configuration and deployment Salt, Mcollecive, Puppet, Ansible orchestration framework

Manage ELK, Kaffka, fluentd, Grafana, prometheus log parsing and monitoring solution

Take care of LDAP, SFTP, Yum, Active Directory, Email, Firewall, Syslog, Windows SCCM and Backup infrastructures

New technology onboarding and perform Proof of Concept

Driving Infrastructure related projects

Document best practices and develop repeatable processes/frameworks to accelerate the adoption of devops for provisioning/automation

Required Skills

Experience in Cloud operation support and Cloud Computing
Experience with Ansible/Salt/Mcollective/Puppet Orchestration tools
Must have experience in Python / Ruby scripting at Enterprise level supporting System Administration activities
Experience with Git branching strategies and distributed development
Experience in managing Linux and Windows environments is must; Unix and Windows certifications will be added advantage
Should be self driven and able to handle / drive projects independently
Good communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and able to work in a team and also independently
Good technical writing skills
Knowledgeable and expertise in performance tuning
Candidate must be versatile, long-term visionary, a team-player, and enjoys working with new technologies in a fast-paced technology environment
Provide 24/7 support

Good to have

Technical knowledge on all critical infra technologies such as storage and backup is added advantage

Experience in Oracle technologies and components

Experience in Virtualization is added advantage

Knowledge of OS security tools/Application - PBRUN, NIS, Sudo

Tier 4 Data center experience

ITIL certification

Define, design, and implement network communications and solutions within a fast-paced, leading edge database/applications company

Responsible for creating and implementing system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliablility of the system Manage the load configurations of a central data communication processor and make recommendations for purchase or upgrade of data networks Coordinate terminal orders and cable installation, network system planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing, and servicing Approves action requests and specifies purchase requisitions Negotiates and places orders with common carriers May play a team leader role for developing System Administrators

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization Eight years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment BS in Computer Science or related field
