SVP, Cloud Development Lead, Group Consumer Banking and Big Data Analytics Technology, Technology and Operations - ( WD00273 )

Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Banks operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels

Responsibilities

Good at developing greenfield business applications using cloud native architecture from scratch
Familiar with deploying high availability, high-scale and performance systems
Deploying secure applications in private and public cloud environment
Keen on leveraging on emerging technologies to create leading edge banking products that offer competitive advantage in the market place
Work closely with the developers to create the next generation of banking software via good programming standards and code reviews
Ensure all code is maintainable, scalable and testable
Partner with architects and engineers to build software in an agile approach, leveraging on the advantages of prototyping

Requirements

Hands-on coding experience, usually in a pair programming environment
Experience with cloud based development frameworks, distributed architecture, SOA, microservices and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)

Expertize in the following areas
Core Java 8, Spring framework, SpringBoot, Spring Cloud
Angular JS,
Cloud Foundry (or equivalent),
MariaDB, EnterpriseDB, NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB, Elastic search), IMDG
RabbitMQ,
AWS / Amazon Web Services,
API gateway,
Linux, Unix systems
Drools/Activiti, and a range of open source libraries
CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub, SonarQube, Fortify etc
Docker
Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies

Good knowledge of the core banking domain and experience of delivering core banking solutions or technology solutions in financial services sector
A team player who can work well with people
A self-starter who can work independently to meets challenging targets
Great communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skills
A great manager who can motivate and work with teams in remote location
