The Senior Vice President position will be responsible for overall group management for the Support functions supporting USD and CAD clearing operations and investigations, servicing many departments of Citi globally The role has oversight of operations in Buffalo, NY and various cities in India The operation processes over 430k transactions totaling almost $2T daily for a global client base that includes Financial Institutions, Corporates, Public Sector and other entities The role will work closely with business and technology partners to continue to transform the operation to support the future evolution of the payments industry

Strong leadership is required to manage the operational support processes, with heavy emphasis on quality, process controls, regulatory environment, expense management, and process improvements As this function will be the leader for strategy and execution, strong communication skills and relationship skills are a key component

Candidates must have full working knowledge and experience in Operational process management, wire transfer and instant payment processing, Sanctions/AML, Interbank Compensation, Vendor management, Project management, Incident/Problem management, Process re-engineering and people management

Key Responsibilities

Group Manager is responsible for the smooth and efficient processing of above mentioned transactions and oversees 30 local staff and remote off-shore vendors S/he will be responsible for the effective management of operations and controls to deliver superior customer service within prescribed SLAs, while maintaining compliance with regulations and risk mitigation controls in a fast paced and changing environment Role works closely with global partners across Regional Operational teams, Service, Client Delivery, Global Compliance, Legal, Product, Sales and Technology to set strategic direction, enhanced product offerings, and continuous operational improvement Role also engages in employee and community development work

Bachelors degree, military, or equivalent experience (MBA preferred)

8 years of management experience with 5 years of experience in operational process management

Strong leadership capabilities

Strong ability to develop clear strategies, set direction and deliver results

Excellent interpersonal and superior verbal & written communication skills

Experience in supporting a wide-range of internal/external clients (product, sales, client delivery, technology, compliance, legal)

Strong people management experience to include performance/goal management, and compensation review process

Ability to identify control deficiencies and implement appropriate procedures to mitigate any risk

Project management of multiple high priority visible projects to ensure delivery on target and within budget

Identification and implementation of process and service improvements and automation opportunities

Proven expense management experience in meeting target financial/head count targets

Strong influencing skills in pushing operational agendas with cross-organizational partners

Some travel may be required
