Title Support Engineer III

Location Charlotte, NC

Contract Duration 6 months with the possibility of extension

Compensation Minimum base compensation is $30 per Hour and can go higher depending on experience Also includes medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k Benefits

Support Engineer III

A Support Engineer in the AppCenter Team acts as the primary technical contact and delivers advanced technical troubleshooting support and problem resolution for Customers This includes timely escalation to the Program Managers/Engineering group on back-end issues or in case of a collaboration request This role would be required to deliver timely and high-quality incident resolution focusing on root cause analysis, prevention, and knowledge transfer

A Support Engineer for this team primarily works with external developers (Customers) who use AppCenter with their applications developed in multiple frameworks (Objective-C, Swift, Java, Xamarin (C#), and React Native) and multiple platforms (Android, iOS, UWP) Support may require adjusting to working in Shifts

Responsibilities

Supporting customers on Modern - Live Chat (Over Intercom) (Primary) and over Phone/Live meet if required
Create Support articles on Help Center (https//intercomhelp/appcenter) documenting Customer Scenarios, Potential Causes and Troubleshooting steps
Effectively communicating with customers and stakeholders
Reproduce issues, and report site incidents to the Live Site Team
Identify, confirm, escalate bugs and provide appropriate alternate implementations/ techniques in the companys products reported by external developers
Identify issues that occur frequently and help create a knowledge base article to solve/workaround that issue

Requirements

6 months to 1 year of experience in customer service understand what customer asking/customer need
Experience with application development across multiple frameworks (objectiveC, Java iOS, andoird)
Programing experience from school to learning on own need to know the terminology
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Prior Experience in DevOps preferably with Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS), GitHub, Bitbucket Cloud
Knowledge on CI/CD of VSTS/Jenkins/Bitrise would be a plus
Knowledge on Testing Frameworks XamarinUITest, Appium, Calabash, Espresso, XCUITest would be an additional advantage/preferable
Knowledge on scripting PowerShell, Bash Scripting is welcome
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to build readiness content and develop training (in applicable regions)
Good Knowledge on Supported Platforms Android, iOS, UWP and frameworks, Objective-C, Swift, Java, Xamarin (C#), and React Native (Preferred Good knowledge in All mentioned; Acceptable Deep knowledge in a specific platform/multiple frameworks)
Development Experience using XCode/Android Studio/Visual Studio is preferable Experience with ReactNative and web editing tools like Visual Studio code is an added advantage
Experience from working in a Customer facing/Technical Support Environment is desirable (Experience working with Modern Live Chat Support Systems is a Plus)
Good English Communication Skills - Spoken and Written (including technical writing) Excellent written communication in English is a must as it would be the Primary way to engage with our Customers
Excellent customer Service skills and effective learning skills
Ability to learn from an issue/situation and adapt and carry forward the solution to another seemingly unrelated issue
Identify current knowledge deficiencies/training needs, as well as potential future needs
