The Strategic Technology Incubation Team within Schneider Electrics Chief Technology Office is responsible for researching, developing, promoting, and accelerating selected emerging technology solutions for our internal corporate and business unit clients Services the team provides include, but are not limited to

Pilot acceleration
High-impact technology initiative support
Rapid market research
Targeted technology watch
Lean Startup Methodology mentoring

We are seeking a 6-month Co-Op to support our team The selected candidates will own a technology pilot from beginning to end, under the mentorship of senior members of the team

There will be no direct reports associated with this position

Duties and Responsibilities

Co-Op responsibilities

Understand the customer problem, persona, and journey map
Research relevant technology trends
Research existing technology solutions and vendors on the market
Design a prototype solution
Demonstrate the prototype solution to customer and other stakeholders
Develop training material to transfer knowledge gained over the summer to relevant teams and communities in the company

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Actively working towards a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related fields
Excellent communicator, both verbal and written
Passionate about working with new and emerging technologies
Team player willing to step up and help out colleagues
Demonstrated leadership skills with a customer service oriented mindset
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, multi-task, work under pressure, and deliver results
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to identify issues/risk, analyze and understand underlying causes and devise appropriate action plans
Exercises good judgment regarding when and how to escalate issues
