Tracking Code 6513-292 Job Description The mission of the Strategic Planner is to provide a day-to-day key support to the team on projects (innovation, ingredients, client partnership), lead key financial aspects (budget, pricing, expenses, recovering) and develop strategic initiatives on identified projects

The role reports to the Global Account Manager

Role and Responsibilities

Financial Analyses & Reporting

Provide Orders In House, Sales/Budget, Forecast, Gross Profit & Expenses analyses periodically (monthly/quaterly) for the Account Team, Global Account Director and Global Business Development Manager
Provide and analyze reports from Business Warehouse, responding to ad-hoc inquiries
Centralize & be the owner of all financial reporting & key account KPIs ensuring relevance & accuracy throughout the year
Provide pricing and quotations to pending projects
Sales Variance Analysis (SVA) for Budgeting/Forecast
Consolidate a global account report (quarterly) and global projects list (monthly)
Follow up on account invoicing

Day-to-Day team planning

Centrally orchestrate key financial & other internal Creation & Application activities (eg Strategy Refresh, Quarterly RSFs & Budgeting, Expenses Budgeting, Headcount Planning, Market Potentials & Ideation etc) along the year requiring action by the global team, ensuring standard procedures and best practices are followed for each activity,
Centralize ad-hoc requests, leveraging prior work and ensuring minimal disruption to account-team
Establish best practices for global back-office/account support team vis--vis internal IFF systems & processes & Client Systems alike engaging IT support where needed to automate (eg mass-upload)
Coordinate Toxicology reviews and follow up
Help to maintain & continuously improve the Sharepoint platform for the team
Facilitate communication to the wider IFF communities
Maintain all customer contact details and track Client/IFF relationship strategy Build partnership with account procurement team
Centralize and maintain a database with all contracts and agreements for the account team worldwide

Pricing Management

Client Annual Price Reconciliation - Support IFF Regional Teams to gather and confirm accuracy of pricing data and update internal IFF system
Ensuring accurate reflection of price-lists globally auditing where required and rectifying errors
Support Global Business Development Manager with data mining & analyses to construct pricing strategy

Strategic initiatives

Proactively source market & customer intelligence, feeding in to the account team
Provide forward looking business insights to the account team
Deploy and support innovative projects according to account strategy

Procedures and ethics

Deliver goals and objectives in line with IFF code of business conduct and ethics or any other internal procedures

Other ad hoc projects or activities can be added to the scope according to business imperatives and candidate profile and/or aspirations

Required Skills Project Management skills; ability to lead internal and external groups, and manage a process to completion
Finance acumen, understanding of Budgeting/Forecasting/Finance/Pricing to analyze and give appropriate conclusions and recommendations
Good interpersonal skills; able to build strong relationship with colleagues and the customer is of the utmost importance
Excellent communication skills, verbal & written; accuracy is critical
Ability to communicate & work with a global team; able to give and receive feedback openly
Fluent in English and ideally French as well
Advanced Excel, SAP, BW & computing skills
Ability to work independently
Good Organizational skills, able to manage different tasks at the same time, prioritize and maintaining accuracy and service attitude High responsiveness, but not at the cost of accuracy
Solution orientated, taking necessary steps to best resolve problems in a time efficient manner

Required Experience Bachelors degree in business admin or related field with work experience in the flavor/fragrance industry preferred
3-5 years of relevant experience in areas of account management
Track record experience in global coordination of account activities
