Job Description:

Role Summary The Financial Controller shall be responsible for the completion of accurate and timely monthly financial close including accounting, tax, and government compliance

Shall be reporting to Head Finance Convergence BU

What the role entails Key accountabilities/ responsibilities

- Drive month end closing

- Drive monthly rolling forecast

- Overview monthly invoicing

- Get well versed with the business and look for potential cost savings/margin improving opportunity

- Modelling of key KPIs to help manage and track the various performance parameters

- Work and assist on reviewing cost against budget and forecast

- Conduct a thorough variance analysis of Actual Vs FC with strong comments and reasoning to help understand numbers better

- Coordinate with cross functional & business teams

- Fully Responsible for the financial controlling area of the unit Securing the accurate budgeting, forecasting

- Drive margin related discussions with the business managers

- Cooperate with multiple teams like legal, insurance, consultants, auditors and banks to effectively control the assets of the business and to provide business support

- Build, manage, and develop a robust and scalable accounting organization to manage the operational accounting requirements for the business

- Manage internal and external audits when they occur

- Finance point of contact for Capacity / Resource Management Group, HR, Recruitment, Service line operations

- Banking Operations

Role Demands Travel to Sterlite Offices as and when required

Location Vikhroli, Mumbai

Education, Experience, Certification, Exposure

For CA candidates, min 9-12 years of total experience (Telecom sector preferred) Relationships with Auditors, CA firms, Tax consultants

For NON -CA candidates, min 12-15 years of total experience (Telecom sector preferred) w/ upto 12 years of experience with a large and reputed corporate entity or financial services firm

Functional Requirements-

1 Financial - Good knowledge of latest accounting policies IFRS/GAAP and experience in book keeping

2 Extensive knowledge of SAP FI module preferred

3 Operational - Developing and sustaining business relationships with key stakeholders customers; Good communication skills

4 Reviewing & monitoring the performance of each Project
