Staff Sales Consultant (Pre-Sales) Inside Sales

As a staff sales consultant, you will work as a member of a business development team to solve business and technical problems for prospective clients and customers You will uncover and understand customer goals and challenges and establish Oracles Technology, Cloud & Hardware products as the best solution available Youll develop and deliver high quality customized presentations and demonstrations, present and articulate product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions that highlight customer value

Position Location Candidates must be based within a commutable distance to one of the following Oracle offices SANTA MONICA, CA

As an Staff Sales Consultant you will be responsible for Providing presales technical/functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction Delivering high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations Presenting and articulating Oracle products strengths, relative to competitors Participating in the design, validation, and presentation of Oracle software solutions

Responsibilities

Actively maintain an in-depth product knowledge in Technology Solutions, including
o competitive offerings
o all solutions enabled by Oracles Technology, Middleware, Data Management, Intelligence, Cloud and hardware products
o portfolio of case studies of implementations
o links to development teams
o information on future product development
Ensure the Presales team and specified groups have up-to-date and relevant product knowledge in technology product areas
Maintain awareness of all relevant competitive products
Understand the needs and pains of the customer and then to link them to a set of products/solutions provided by Oracle
Demonstrate leadership abilities and superior presentation skills in a multi-cultural environment
Respond to tenders, RFIs, RFPs, proposals with respect to product/solution information
Contribute to the generation and maintenance of relevant product area specific Value Propositions
Create and maintain relationships with key product stakeholders like Product Marketing, Development, Strategy, Partners, etc
Contribute to the achievement of a product/business unit target
Be enthusiastic and confident

Preferred Qualifications

2 years experience in related field
A strong technical knowledge including but not limited to HTML, Java, Service Oriented Architectures, Relational Database Technology, HTML, Object Oriented (OO) programming skills/understanding and Master Data Management, scripting languages, cloud technologies
Undergraduate in Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree
Ability to discuss key industry issues at multiple levels (C-Level to Functional Managers)
Skilled in presenting and demonstrating
Applicant must present these types of abilities
o Self-starter ability to figure out things and learn on their own
o Team Player working sales deals requires a collaborative effort
o Enjoys a challenge finding the right customer solution can be challenging
o Learning new things technology is always changing
o Detailed oriented will need to juggle multiple deals at once as well as keep track of time

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures3 - 5 years business experience preferred; vendor experience also preferred 3 years relevant computer applications or database/tools preferred Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system Knowledge of system and application design preferred Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills Ability to travel as needed BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred
