The Staff Continuous Improvement Engineer delivers operational excellence results that support business objectives Working with leadership and cross functional teams, this position will be a change agent in the design, development, standardization and implementation of Operational Excellence methods intended to continuously improve performance This person is an influencer and facilitator, with a track record of managing change This person is a systems thinker who solves problems by building relationships and collaborating

Job Duties

Support the Operational Excellence Strategy to build and grow a culture of continuous improvement across sites by evaluating, creating and driving standard best practice methodologies and tools that continuously improve existing processes
Lead, mentor and teach the lean methodology across production and distribution locations
Provide planning and execution for continuous improvement / lean initiatives across the Manufacturing Operations
Manage deployment and adoption of new processes utilizing effective and efficient tools/ templates
Collaborate closely with functional leaders to identify, resource and complete projects with cross-functional impact
Establish metrics that drive desired business performance
Supervise and provide work direction to other engineers
Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements
Comply with US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned


BS in Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical field; advanced degree preferred
6 years manufacturing experience
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
Prior experience in medical device manufacturing preferred
Minimum 2 years executing continuous improvement/lean projects
Solid people management and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and solve problems, by building relationships and collaborating
Experienced influencer and facilitator, with a track record of managing change
Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results
Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner
Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable
Ability to travel approximately up to 15-30 PERCENT , including internationally
