Operates companys complex high traffic, business critical internet site communications and/or network-based product systems Plans, designs and implements scalable local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols (including IP and VOIP) Responsible for system performance; supports/troubleshoots network issues and coordinates installation of such items as routers and switches with appropriate vendors Develops tools to automate the deployment, administration and monitoring of a network system Provides training and assists with proposal writing Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons and works on project implementation Works with development teams to enhance and improve system operability Conducts tests of network redundancy, resilience and failover of network elements to ensure up-time standards are fully achieved May be required to provide on-call service coverage with other department employees


Performs the installation, maintenance, repair, and monitoring of LAN Physical Infrastructure to ensure proper functionality and performance, including associated operating system software and hardware components such as routers, bridges, switches, hubs, and associated cabling and wiring
Provide Level III network support by responding, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents Ensure optimal network performance by conducting performance monitoring and making and recommending adjustments as necessary
Perform network capacity analysis and plan accordingly Create network asset documentation and diagrams Research and deploy network tools and management systems Plan and address network hardware and software concerns (single points of failure, end of life, bugs, capacity, etc)
May be included in the on-call rotation
Travel required, may be domestic or international
Perform other duties as assigned
Understand and Adhere to all Corporate Policies to include but not limited to ACI Code of Ethics and Global Information Security


Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree and/or equivalent work experience Bachelors degree in computer science or related field is preferred
5 years network infrastructure experience required Experience with configuration changes (ACL, routing, switching, certificates, etc)
Experience creating network asset documentation, diagrams, and other forms of network documentation

Preferred Skills/Experiences

Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator
Professional certification (eg CCNP, CCDP)
Solid background in network administration and architecture
In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (eg BGP, OSPF)
Familiarity with access control models and network security
Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (eg SolarWinds network tools)
Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
Sharp troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently
