We are looking for a Fab Engineering Manager who enjoys working within a team environment In this role, you will support the wafer fab production and engineering development efforts The engineering manager will be responsible for process and yield improvements as well as developing products

Responsibilities

The process engineer is responsible to develop, monitor, manufacture and test wafer fab semiconductor products
Create and update documentation describing product manufacture or equipment operation
Implement and monitor SPC to ensure process control
Design run and document results of experiments Experience with Design of Experiments is a plus
Communicate and consult with team members and other staff, as necessary, to successfully complete tasks
Must keep accurate records of all activities related to running process experiments or making process changes
Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products
Work with management to define capital equipment needs
Ensure wafer fab personnel are adhering to prescribed safety protocols

Participate in and support weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reporting, as required
Mentor and assist in the professional development of junior staff members
Select, develop, and evaluate team to ensure the efficient operation of the function
Establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments to subordinates
Maybe be involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect
Regularly interact with peers, senior management or executives on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers
Develop staff to ensure backup coverage is available (ie cross-training), including when manager is unavailable
Plan and administer procedures and budget
Make budgetary recommendations and manage capital expenditures and labor
Review goals, objectives, budget and quality standards with senior manager
Develop goals and objectives for team, monitor goals and objectives throughout the year, and meet with team members one-on-one to review performance
Other design, development, and support tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

BS in Chemical, Electrical or other related engineering discipline
5 years of experience working as an engineer in a fab environment working with MW & RF semiconductor products
5-10 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably a fab environment
Ability to think out-of-the-box and create unique solutions to problems
Experience, coursework, or knowledge of best-practice engineering principles
Familiarity with statistical methods such as Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control and Gage R&R
Strong Microsoft Office skills with high proficiency in Excel
Must be well organized with the ability to present information for suggested process improvements to the Wafer Fabrication engineering team
Ability to multitask and work on a diverse set of problems simultaneously while being on a steep learning curve

Ability to navigate within matrix environment
Must be able to work and plan independently to achieve targeted goals
Excellent (English) communication (verbal and written) and listening skills
Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with employees and management

Preferred Qualifications

MS in Chemical, Electrical, Physical sciences or other related engineering discipline
