We Offer

We are looking for a legal specialist to join our Legal Data Protection & Sourcing, APAC team with a focus on data management related matters (banking secrecy, data protection, confidentiality and privacy) and outsourcing initiatives across the APAC region The role is based in Singapore and the right candidate will work closely with colleagues based in Zurich, Poland, the US and other locations on regional and global data protection issues

This role will support a variety of internal clients, working closely with APAC General Counsel, Compliance and other business partners on a range of data protection matters, with a particular specialisation in Singapore banking secrecy and APAC data protection advisory matters

Key responsibilities You will conduct legal reviews of proposed offshoring/outsourcing deployments against legal and regulatory requirements in APAC
Advise on data-management matters in relation to strategic projects, transactions and procurement contracts that involve access to, or the transfer of, customer, personal or third-party proprietary data across national borders in line with applicable APAC laws, regulations and Credit Suisse policies
Identify risks and contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of existing and new deployments
Provide legal mentorship with respect to regulatory developments impacting the Bank and partnering with other departments within the Bank to monitor, evaluate, and address business impact of regulatory and rule changes
Promote awareness of the applicable client confidentiality, data protection/privacy regulatory standards, upstreaming risks and practices across the business and the support functions
Support the maintenance of an internal database as well as know-how with respect to APAC data-management and outsourcing laws and regulations

You Offer

You hold a University degree in Law
You have a sound legal background with at least three years professional experience working as a lawyer as well
You have experience of working in a financial institution or a law firm which is oriented internationally in the data management field (preferable)
You possess excellent legal, analytical and problem solving skills and exercise of judgment with high ethical and control standards
You also possess strong interpersonal skills, can prioritize while multi-tasking and time management skills which enables you to establish and maintain effective client relationships and trust
You have good attention to detail and a positive can-do attitude
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
You have worked in an international multi-cultural and dynamic environment which will facilitate in the teams success
You are ambitious, dedicated and hardworking who can work on own initiative and deliver on time with a high level of integrity, sense of urgency and quality standards
