Overview

As a GCFO Business Analyst, the role will be responsible for working within a team to deliver a range of GCFO change initiatives

The focus areas for the business analyst would include solution and process design, data analysis and reconciliation, process mapping, system testing, project documentation, stakeholder management and training ultimately leading to successful progression through the project life cycle

The analyst would be liaising closely with various stakeholders across finance, particularly within FP&A / Functions Finance / Country finance as well as internal ASPIRE programme change, project and programme managers

The GFCO Business Analyst will be required to proactively engage with business departments to identify and define business requirements

The job holder must not be constrained by a rigid job specification and be sufficiently experienced to be able to pick up additional duties as necessary

SCB is currently undergoing a comprehensive transformation with multiple strategic initiatives in place and in different stages of execution that the business analyst will be asked to engage with

These include finance technology solutions, process re-engineering, financial and management reporting and operating model transformation

These initiatives would need support from the GCFO change function and in turn the Business Analyst role

Specific Responsibilities

Act as a key liaison point between change recipients and the execution team

Engage with change partners including technology, finance, change COE, PMO etc throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful execution of project requirements

Support project workshops to define project scope and business requirements

Document solution design

Support process review and redesign activity, while documenting target operating model initiatives

Facilitate preparation and review of all formal project documentation including business requirements, project plans, operating models, design documents etc

Manage any solution testing with both the development team and the user community

Be responsible for the training and transition of project collateral / technical solutions to the end target consumer

Support transition of the project deliverables into a BAU managed environment

Support the design and development of interim and target state group reporting, controls framework and consolidation processes

Establish and chair project working group forums and stakeholder discussions

Create clear communication forums with stakeholders to manage expectations throughout delivery

Partner with stakeholders across the organisation, including Lines of Business, local country Finance, Treasury, Supply Chain, Tax, Regulatory, Risk, and Data to define and implement the required Reporting Control processes

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 8 years of experience in Banking or Financial Services in both reporting management roles as well as change roles

Proven experience working across multiple geographies in rapidly changing environment

A clear understanding of project milestones and be able to effectively manage and prioritize their time accordingly, in order to deliver to those milestones

Ability to pre-empt and resolve problems, mitigate risks, and issues associated with program

Strong analytical skills and be a creative thinker, ability to analyse an issue and help develop multiple solutions

Able to communicate effectively and confidently with colleagues of all levels of seniority, from different backgrounds and based in other (global) locations

Strong command of the English language and or high level of proficiency

Knowledge of existing SCB Finance Technology Architecture and Financial Reporting Processes preferred

Knowledge of existing internal systems and data for example PSGL / FA / Hyperion / HPCM / MRC / FX / / Tableau / SAP etc

Reports Directly to GCFO Head of PMO
