Preferred Qualifications

The OCI Solution Specialist will focus on targeted customers, to migrate their on-premise Oracle Applications/workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure We are looking for self-driven individuals having a strong drive and solution selling experience with technical exposure on Oracle Applications & Technology (Weblogic, Database, Exadata & E-Business Suite/Peoplesoft/Siebel)

The role is an individual contributor Success is measured by the number of Applications workloads that are proposed, sold and migrated onto Oracles Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)


Proven solution selling expertise on moving workloads to the Cloud, with the ability to sell the value (business & technical) of Cloud Platform & migrating Oracle Applications/workloads with prior experience in presales or as an implementer

Work with customers on the cloud economics business case to migrate Oracle Applications/workloads to OCI

Good understanding of the competitive cloud (AWS/Azure/Google) landscape and cloud platform adoption to overcome customer objections on moving to OCI

Has knowledge of the operational support processes for Application deployments on the cloud platform and understands key customer challenges faced during migration of Oracle workloads as well as the lifecycle management post migration

Strong understanding of Application hosting environments such as Managed Data Centres, Cloud based infrastructure and Virtualized environments

Good understanding of Oracle technology stack such as Oracle Database, Exadata, Fusion Middleware (Weblogic at the least) & Oracle Applications (EBS, Siebel, PeopleSoft) will be a plus


Own the business plan for migrating Oracle Applications/workloads to OCI for the territory

Prospect, develop and lead opportunities in targeted accounts for migrating Oracle applications/ workloads to OCI balancing the strategic wins with quick wins

Be a Cloud Platform sales domain leader and evangelize new ways of selling OCI as the preferred platform for Oracle workloads to existing enterprise customers

Scale the business by creating & leveraging best practices supporting the effectiveness of the focused sales plays on Migrating Oracle Applications/workloads to OCI that drive not only the cloud bookings but also renewals

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force

Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization 8 years applicable experience preferred Subject matter expertise in industry/product space Knowledge of key industry leaders and management Knowledge of Oracle competition Presentation and product demonstration experience Previous consultative selling experience preferred Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers Travel may be needed BA/BS degree in related field
