1 Product presentations & demonstrations
2 Advice Customers & Partners on how to best use Oracle products/solutions
3 Respond to tenders
4 Interact with product development about new releases, new functionality

The solution engineering Hub (SE-Hub) tasked to support the EMEA & APAC
Field Presales in a diverse number of ways from regional hubs These range from answering RFx/tenders, creating DEMOs, sizing Solutions, or creating Business Cases
In the SE Hub Systems Team, we are looking for individuals who are willing to
take on the challenge of building excellent product knowledge (Oracle Systems
Portfolio) and to combine this with a good commercial sense, clear
communication while working in an international environment

On a day to day base you will work closely with the Field Presales teams across countries in EMEA and APAC The tasks delivered by you, the SE Hub Solution Engineer will be focused on

Responding to technical queries support on a range of issues such as answering product questions, creating content and documents for Oracle potential/existing Customers, researching a product topic or competitive product and other tasks that support the Field Presales, our Customers and Partners

Providing Presales support to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, PQQs, etc; answering to tender specifications and compliance matrix

Sizing systems Solutions and working closely with other Specialists in providing Solutions based on Customer requirements Creating a Total Cost of Ownership Calculation for that Solution

Building Demos to show our products and features, Workshops to help partners and customers understand our products better, POCs to help the customer understand how the product works with a real set of data


A significant portion of your time will also be used to stay up to date on the latest product releases & Oracles strategy This is done through Oracles well-known self-study, online training and classroom training which can help you in your career growth, expand your product knowledge and validate your expertise to give you an edge in the IT industry


To fulfill the role of Presales Consultant we are looking for individuals that match the following profile

Good understanding of the IT market & trends

Technical/IT education, university degree

Works in an IT related role or has just finished University and has very good qualifications

Experience in Architect or engineering and maintaining enterprise class solutions (servers, storage, & engineered systems) is an advantage

Experience using or managing various operating systems (Linux, Unix, an Windows) and/or virtualization technologies in an enterprise level environment is an advantage

Good understanding of one or more of the following

1 Oracle systems Portfolio (Exadata, SPARC Servers, Private Cloud Appliance, ZFS Appliance)

2 Oracle Database (A must)

3 Linux/ Virtualization/ Solaris

4 Competitive awareness / Good understanding or AWS, HP, IBM, SAP,etc


Excellent communication skills, able to articulate messages very clearly You are a storyteller!

Openness to work with different languages & cultures (you will support EMEA and APAC)

Results orientation, you wont be satisfied until the job is done with the right quality!

Ability to work in (virtual) teams To get a specific job done often requires working together with many colleagues spread out in different countries

Self-motivated, you have the natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges

Knowledge (oral & written) of either French, Italian or German is a plus

As a Staff Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations Present and articulate Oracle product*s strengths, features, benefits, and competitive advantages Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures3 - 5 years business experience preferred; vendor experience also preferred 3 years relevant computer applications or database/tools preferred Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system Knowledge of system and application design preferred Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills Ability to travel as needed BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred
