Job Summary

The Solution Engineer assists the sales personnel in the qualification of Enterprise / Industry customer needs, performs pre demo needs analysis, participates on one or more strategic accounts, and provides mentoring and training to peers In addition, the Solutions Engineer is responsible for the generation of product demo scripts, scenarios, and maintains demonstration environment(s)

Assist the sales personnel in the qualification of Enterprise customer needs and performing pre demo needs analysis

Participation on one or more strategic accounts either in support or lead

Provide mentoring and training to peers and other colleagues in the organization

Demonstrations of the product, both standard and tailored to prospects and existing customers, both onsite and via web conference

Generation of product demo scripts and scenarios and maintaining demonstration environment(s)

Scoping and delivering Proof of Concept/Pilot engagements with prospects

Responding to Request for Information/Proposal documents Staying current on product developments/releases to a level required for demo and POC/Pilot

Supporting Marketing events user conferences, trade shows, webinars etc

Staying current on competitive analyses and understanding differentiators between the company and its competitors

Responsible for understanding business and technical problems addressed by the products including key regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs, security etc

In conjunction with Sales Personnel and Professional Services, conduct transition briefing - communicate commitments, expectations etc in preparation for deployment

Act as the Innovapptive subject matter expert at Executive briefings / marketing events

Other duties as assigned

Requirements Education, Experience, and Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent on-the-job experience

Minimum of 5 years of strong Pre-sales and consulting experience

Must have EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) or SCM (Supply Chain) experience

Must have strong SAP experience in PM or MM and WM

Experience with a combination of EAM with Oil & Gas/Chemicals, EAM with Utilities, or SCM with Manufacturing is required

Mastery of the Sales process and trusted advisor for account representative

Understanding of and experience selling to enterprise IT architecture

Background in Enterprise Asset Management, Supply Chain, and IT Management

Experience in working with Fortune 100 enterprises is a plus

Houston, TX based highly preferred will consider exceptional remote candidate (s)

Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

Competencies

Exhibits prior and current technical expertise in mobile technology and the ability to learn new technology
