Software Test Engineer - TS/SCI w/poly - ( ATE0003LR )

We are currently seeking a Software Test Engineer with an active TS/SCI and a current polygraph to support a customer in the Fort Meade, MD area Duties and responsibilities may include the following
Develops a detailed test plan with expected results for each defect, new feature, or system modification as assigned
Develops, refines and disseminates the overall test strategy for the program
Prepares test documentation, reviews requirements, runs regression tests
Produces complex test cases that include test scenario, test data setup, test steps and expected results for each functional area - to include happy path testing (positive) to exercise expected functionality, as well as error path test cases (negative) to ensure errors are handled gracefully with the goal of facilitating the delivery of the system without any high severity problems
Manages multiple tasks in design, implementation, and integration of software
Defines business and functional requirements through user stories in Team Foundation Server (TFS) User stories are similar to use cases and should contain enough information so that the development team can break down the user stories into smaller, testable requirements
Produces a requirement test case tractability matrix that will map all functional requirements to test cases to ensure maximum test coverage
Creates test cases as described within the Test Plan which documents the Test Teams approach to making sure all requirements are met Test cases are created to ensure that the functionality of the program works as it is designed for each build
Ensures efficient delivery of deliverables using industry standards and repeatable processes
Executes a series of tests in order to validate the integration of the requirements
Identifies discrepancies when the system does not meet the expected results



Basic Qualifications
Typically has a BS degree from an accredited college or university in a related scientific or engineering discipline and three (3) to five (5) years of progressive, relevant experience, or an MS degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline and two (2) to three (3) years of progressive experience, or a PhD degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline
Active TS/SCI with a current CI Poly
Security Certification (8570 Compliant)

Desired Qualifications
Software Test Experience (Integration and end to end testing)
Experience with Team Foundation Server
Experience working in an Agile Environment
Experience with Selenium Framework
Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) a plus
Test UI browser
Knowledge of Selenium and Gherkin
Knowledge of the following technologies SQL, ASPNET, MVC, HTML and Unified Modeling Language (UML)

General Office environment The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers

Equipment & Machines
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment

Attendance is critical at all times Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur
