Job Description:

This opportunity is with a US based MNC in the BFSI, Wealth Management Industry with its Software Product team based out of Pune, Mumbai and Hyderabad

Reports to Director, India

Opportunity Snapshot

- Reporting into the Director, India, this is a key leadership role in the Life, Pension, Retirement & Wealth Management delivery space The role will engage closely with the Delivery Managers and the Release Management team across Australia/UK to enable ongoing software delivery the clients of proprietary solutions in the Life, Pension, Retirement and Wealth Management space

Direct Reports Project Managers/Scrum Masters

Key Accountabilities

- Overall accountability for delivery across the cross functional teams

- Collaborate with the wider program team for demand and capacity planning and work allocation for the India teams

- Tracking, monitoring and reporting on allocated work and budgets to the Sr Management group

- Risks and Issues Management with timely escalations and reporting

- Actively coach and support the Scrum Masters on process and delivery

- Engage with the Development Manager on key development practices and process

- Actively contribute to and monitor team motivation and engagement to ensure high retention

- Support location based recruitment activities

- Performance management of direct reports with ongoing feedback and 1-1 catch-ups

Education and Qualification

- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (mandatory)

- Relevant certifications in project management ie Prince2 or PMP (mandatory)

- Agile certification (desirable)

Knowledge and Skills

- Has comprehensive knowledge of Programme and Project Management with a broad understanding of the financial services industry Has managed large programs of work across global geographies

- Strong technology delivery experience using Microsoft Technologies (VBNet, C#, ASPNet, SQL Server, LINQ, WPF, WCF, Windows Forms, MVC, XML, CSS and AJAX/Java script/JQuery)

- Strong Stakeholder management experience collaborating with global teams building/retaining high performance development teams

- Experience in migrating projects from legacy Microsoft tech stack to latest technologies

- E2E exposure to SDLC process from Analysis, Coding, Automation and Release Deployments

- Experience in Transition management

- Is able to make sound and far reaching decisions on major issues and to take full responsibility for them on a technical or managerial basis

- Has a comprehensive knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile development life cycles

- Understands the interdependencies of business processes and information systems and demonstrates ability to see the bigger picture
