About the role

You will be a member of the Site Reliability Engineering team of the Experience Cloud You will be passionate about developing software to help scale monitoring, alerting, provisioning and configuration management We are leveraging multi-cloud environments (Azure/AWS), are security-focused and are helping mission-critical services succeed This individual should be self-motivated and have a passion for quality

Our SRE and Engineering teams are distributed, split between San Francisco, Noida, Lehi, and Bucharest, and rely heavily on tools like Slack, JIRA and video conferencing Flexibility to join meetings with colleagues around the world is expected The successful candidate must be able to prioritize tasks and work independently

The successful candidate should have a strong aptitude for learning new technologies and the ability to drive complex and challenging projects to conclusion Strong collaboration with the engineering teams and an ability to thrive under pressure are key skills required to succeed in this role This individual should be self-motivated and have a passion for quality

What youll do

Provide deep technical troubleshooting for escalated issues that involve Adobe Campaigns most technically complex or large-scale customers
Will use troubleshooting, monitoring and reporting tools to analyze the root cause of serious and impactful technical issues and to build stable and sustainable solutions and improvements
Work closely with customer care, internal escalation teams, product management, and engineering to seek solutions for customers and drive ownership of tasks toward completion
Drive and improve the whole lifecycle of operational readiness - from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement
Develop tools, operational enhancements and automated solutions that enable self-service configuration changes, speed deployments and improve monitoring in support of business-critical customer facing SaaS applications and environments
Assist our software engineering team to ensure proper monitoring and metrics are being built into the applications before going to production
Participate in an on-call rotation

What you need to be successful Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 5 years of relevant work experience
Full Stack troubleshooting experience including networking, operating system (Debian, CentOS), Apache, HA Proxy, Nginx, RDBMS
Experience leveraging monitoring tools such as Splunk, New Relic, Nagios for troubleshooting
Experience with AWS and/or Azure stack particularly in the areas of networking (VPCs, security groups), VMs (EC2), databases (RDS), load balancing (ELB, ALB)
Excellent information management practices, such as thorough documentation, usage of wikis, and other collaboration tools
Ability to scope project work, estimate effort and then break down work into sub-tasks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience developing applications in one or more of the following Python, Java or Go
Strong comprehension of continuous integration and continuous deployment methodologies

Bonus skills

Experience with infrastructure and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Salt, Ansible, CloudFormation and ARM templates
Experience with both relational databases such as Postgres and document stores such as MongoDB
Experience deploying applications in containers using Docker and Kubernetes or Mesos
