As a Site Reliability Analyst for Mobile Apps & Analytics at Hotelscom, you will monitor performance of our iOS and Android apps This involves all aspects of our apps, from real time data, to customer reviews and leading investigations We are continuously improving and expect you to do the same You will be collaborating closely with design, product, and colleagues across Expedia Group

What youll do Anomaly Detection - you will use the range of tools available to you to detect anomalies in our Mobile Apps Youll investigate and debug live issues and work with application development teams to reduce re-occurrence
Monitoring & Alerting - you will own the alerting strategy for mobile apps Youll battle `alert fatigue` with appropriate, timely and useful alerts and youll find ways to automate remediation and resolution
You will drive enhancements to tracing and monitoring within software engineering teams
You will rum deep-dive analysis of issues, particularly those that are customer-reported
Design & Develop Dashboards to help support more effective observability
Work collaboratively and Maintain relationships with platform engineers, app developers, app product manager, analytics, web developers, java developers, security, etc This role involves engaging positively with a wide range of people

What youll need A broad technical skill set and inquisitive nature
To be persistent, diligent and resilient
Fascinated by native application security
To understand HTTP requests including headers, caching, methods, status codes, etc
To be tool-agnostic - we use many tools across our business that you will need to use and adapt
to develop an understanding of our user behaviours

Splunk (or other log-analytics tool)
Adobe or Google Analytics
User-feedback technologies (we use Opinion Lab, AppAnnie, App Store reviews)
SQL & Qubole
Mobile App Crash analytics tools
Other internally-built monitoring tools
