Description

The Senior Vice President of Engineering is responsible for

- Overseeing various aspects of the companys engineering product development activities and drive road-map delivery

- Structuring and operations of the product development engineering function as a cohesive unit

- Leading a team of 100+ engineering professionals

- Conceptualising and day-to-day management of simultaneous projects

- Working cooperatively across all levels and business groups of the organisation

- Delivering quality designs to agreed specifications within time and budget constraints, and

- Fostering of innovative solutions to customer needs

Profile

- Bachelors Degree in computer science or a related engineering field

- Minimum of 18 years of engineering experience in product/tech driven environment;

- Minimum of 10 years management experience in product or application development and engineering

- Ability to attract, build and retain a highly engaged and capable world class engineering team that can deliver on technical and business strategies

- Proven ability to drive continuous improvements in organisational performance and efficiency, growth and career development for employees and innovation for customers

- Exceptional Project Management Skills; how to plan, set and manage to reasonable time-lines, while delivering projects that align to the business strategy

- Proven experience in scalable web application development, cross-platform integrations, API and restful web services design and development

- Management and/or development of mobile and responsive applications is a plus
