Duties and responsibilities

Summary

Reporting into the International Total Rewards Partner, you will work as an advisor to India HR and be responsible for developing and implementing compensation and benefits programs

Scope

Has oversight of all compensation & benefits plans in India
Functions as an advisor on compensation and benefit matters
Provides governance and education to ensure that corporate compensation and benefits policies are implemented and maintained locally
Interfaces with other compensation & benefits professionals and/or HR to ensure conformity and integration where appropriate
Interaction frequently involves informing senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization and function

Responsibilities

Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation and benefits programs, policies, guidelines and procedures, recommending revisions as well as new programs
Provides analytical and technical support in the delivery of all programs
Examines possible plan design changes
Analyzes existing and proposed programs for cost impact, effectiveness, legal and regulatory compliance, and alignment with stakeholder interests
Monitors local market trends
Advises on annual as well as ad-hoc compensation budgeting and review
Aligns differing pay principles in-country where required
Provides analysis, review and recommendations for standardization and effectiveness of incentive plans
Develops specific recommendations for review by Sr Management

Evaluates competitive practices with regard to benefit programs, recommends action or programs based on findings
Collaborates with HR, Talent Acquisition and the Business in order to ensure compensation and benefits global policies are adhered to and local policies align with global policies
Participates in the analysis & review of market compensation studies and external benchmarking, job analysis, pay structure development and salary budgets
Analyzes scope of job responsibilities and requirements in order to be aligned with our global job architecture
Analyzes and makes sound recommendations on requests for promotions, salary increases and job offers
Provides education to stakeholders (HR as well as Business) on new programs as well as program changes
Interprets and inputs to policies and procedures in the functional area of the role
Works with external vendors & brokers to develop, administer and/or evaluate benefit programs, in line with the global approach Responsible for annual renewals
Ensures that benefit programs are compliant with governmental regulations and contractual requirements
Provides technical support and acts as an ambassador of al global initiatives, such as Annual Salary Reviews, Job Architecture, Incentives and overall projects
Contributes to program design and/or implementation of compensation programs
Maintains a working knowledge of legislative developments and how they impact the function
Monitors quality and accuracy of employee comp data in India in our HR systems

Qualifications

Bachelors degree required
At least 5 years of Compensation & Benefits experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy; ability to do root cause analysis
Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects at the same time Ability to manage priorities and workflow
Strong business acumen
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Proven ability working effectively across various functions within HR
Cultural awareness (international)
