The Role Responsibilities

See changes through to completion - coding, configuration, testing documentation, change review board
Working with Operations users & BAs to translate requirements to solutions
Support testing
Engaging and collaborating with a wide group of technology teams from upstream TP systems, integration, modelling team, data base administrators, messaging teams, architecture
Identifying technology and process improvements to increase efficiency & reduce risk
Devise and implement rigorous testing processes, identifying opportunities for automation
Comfortable guiding less senior members of the team

Java Development Core Java, Multithreading, Collections, JMS, Hibernate & Spring
Very good experience in Apache Camel
Java Web Technologies JSP, JSON/XML (XSLT, XSD, XQuery)
Application Server JBOSS server, IBM WebSphere, Tomcat
Database Oracle architecture, SQL
Middleware IBM MQ, AMQP, Topic, Web methods
IDE Eclipse
Operating System Linux (with shell scripting), Windows
Repository GIT & SVN
Build tool Maven
Deployment Jenkins & Docker

Good to Have

DevOps experience in the past

Qualifications & Desired Skills

At least 10-12 years development experience using Java, spring and hibernate
Experience in people management, leading a team remotely, managing the annual performance appraisals for the team
Flexibility to deliver in both Agile & Waterfall methodology
Experience working in a banking IT team preferred
Knowledge of Intra Day Liquidity, and Balance Sheet Management would be a definite advantage
Knowledge of bank statements, swift MT messages, Real time payments, XML messaging formats is a definite advantage
Knowledge of reconciliations between ledgers and bank statements, real time reporting requirements
Any knowledge on SAP products and particularly SAP-LMS (Liquidity Management Solution) would be a definite advantage
Good understanding of financial market products, equities and derivative products
Confidence to face off to business users & other stakeholders
A confident verbal communicator is important - able to make their voice heard
Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Experience working in at least one full SDLC
