Training Instructor - Sales Consulting

As a member of the Oracle Sales Academy organization, your focus is to deliver training on Oracle sales methodology, sales skills, Oracle sales tools and product/solutions to Oracle inside sales, sales management and sales consulting audiences

The Training Instructor - Sales Consulting role is for those who have an interest in exceeding customer satisfaction targets by delivering quality Instructor Led Training (ILT) both in person and virtually They have demonstrated expertise in sales consulting and sales or sales consulting management while working with instructional designers and LOB leaders to facilitate training content development Individuals are team players and act as subject matter experts when called upon for curriculum rollout Trainers are expected to maintain deep subject knowledge and skills level while demonstrating expertise for all designated training topics, plus additional, complementary topics and/or best practices as required They meet or exceed utilization expectations and are able to articulate at a granular level a respective concept or vision to both sales and sales consulting teams As a member of the Oracle Sales Academy team, s/he will serve as a resource for training, mentoring, and certification of other instructors and related leadership tasks Those who are successful demonstrate excellent presentation, communication, ability to communicate technology simply, and writing skills with the ability to maintain consistent and engaging delivery of content

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation Below are some traits that we seek when hiring an ideal candidate

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Has demonstrated hands on experience using Oracle, or comparable, technologies

Good understanding of sales processes and challenges faced by pre-sales consulting personnel

Expert level understanding sales consulting internal processes and best practices

Has working technical knowledge of Oracle (or comparable) applications, database, and cloud platforms

Has built and delivered technical demonstrations as part of a sales pursuit process on a regular basis

Has ability to understand and simply communicate value of all Oracle technologies at a technical level

Demonstrates ability to deliver content to various personnel and skill sets

Passion for sales and sales consulting process and methodology training

Commands presence and adapts communication style to fit and engage the audience

Ensures successful delivery of training engagements with a high level of satisfaction

Works under pressure, is able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, and meet established deadlines

Is a team player, encourages participation and is willing to offer help where needed

Works with confidence, uses excellent judgement and understands when to bring in additional resources when necessary

Demonstrates ability to learn new and often complex technologies quickly and effectively

Provides sales and sales consulting expertise inside, field, and sales consulting management

Preferred Experience and Education

Experience in Sales Consulting & Management

BA or BS in a relevant technical field

Experience in hands on technical role for 5 years, preferably using Oracle (or comparable) technologies

Professional Characteristics

Inside, high velocity sales consulting & sales consulting management experience 5 years minimum

Technology sales - selling to both IT and LOB buyers, ability to simplify the complicated

Demonstrated sales consulting enablement training and coaching experience

Broad understanding of customer buying process, sales process and methodology

Experience with Oracle (or comparable) applications and technology is a must, must have cloud experience

Ability to lead, communicate, and drive to achieve maximum learner satisfaction

Effectively manages time and priorities to meet requirements of LOBs

Exercises judgement, initiative, and discretion when providing and delivering training
