Job Description:

Job Purpose This position is open with Bajaj Finance ltd Deliver a profitable rural portfolio with minimal NPA by developing and implementing risk management framework, deciding risk metrics, developing new policies and processes and maintaining the loss figures

Job Duties & Key Responsibilities * Duties and Responsibilities - 1 Risk strategy formulation Scan the macroscopic market, competition and refine/ upgrade risk policies to balance business growth and risk control requirement Develop risk related strategy and plan to deliver on business portfolio health and loss metric aligned with targets defined in the AOP and LRP Liaise with business heads to drive risk management plans and negotiate for optimal balance between risk and business growth 2 Risk assessment Monitor and review portfolio trends and assess various parameters (eg loss metrics, delinquency ratios, bounce rates etc) to ensure adherence to risk quality and targets Develop new product risk policies / changes to policies periodically to enable growth of business with a healthy portfolio 3 Risk mitigation Create scorecard to monitor risk parameters on a periodic basis, identify trends and plan mitigation actions by changing/ adding policy Seek feedback from the field to continuously assess location specific changes to policy Publish risk data on a periodic basis to shareholders, business senior management to ensure timely corrective actions are taken for the business provide input to management on loss making segments, bottom performing portfolio Monitor adherence to risk policies/ processes in the business and plan corrective actions as needed Plan regular audit of rules to ensure adequate business control and put to minimize risk 4 Process improvement Develop new processes to reduce the risk and achieve more velocity in the business by bringing market intelligence and adopting best practices Plan projects by leveraging analytics, technology, databases to build automated and rule-based decision making in operations with a view to minimize risk in business transactions, and improve predictability of risk Liaison with business heads to implement process changes which mitigate risk and work with them to champion the change within their team 5 Team development Participate in recruitment process to identify the right talent at senior positions within the function Establish individual performance expectations and regularly review individual performance of the team to keep a check at attrition Identify and create development opportunities, training, induction sessions for team members to enhance functional knowledge

Required Qualifications and Experience * a) Qualifications Post Graduate in Finance / CA b) Work Experience Minimum 15 years of work experience in retail financing domain Deep understanding of risk and credit appraisals Experience of risk scorecards development, automation and new policy development Knowledge of best in class risk management practices/ policies/ frameworks globally Knowledge of risk related regulatory requirements in NBFC
