In the Finance division, our reporting and controlling teams are working on tasks like asset management, financial integration of mergers and acquisitions, as well as USGAAP-reporting Our objective is to display all business activities in a financially correct and transparent manner

This Senior Financial Analyst role in the IT Finance organization is a key role in supporting Hewlett Packard Enterprises Next Generation IT transformation (NGIT) program If you have the right financial analysis experience and skill set and want to fill a critical role, this opportunity could be the next step in your career

We are looking for someone who has demonstrated strong finance and analytical proficiency with the ability to interface with key contacts and present financial information to management

We need a self-driven, motivated individual to support the Next Generation IT transformation (NGIT) program which is designed to upgrade and simplify HPEs IT ecosystem This role partners heavily with the IT leaders to ensure that the NGIT program strategies are operationally supported The individual will be responsible for gathering financial data and perform analysis to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business budgeting decisions Also, this role will have direct responsibility for the forecasting process for the program and will be the liaison between IT and the Business Units for reporting requirements and accounting practices for the program


Provides financial analysis for the NGIT program while exercising a strong understanding of the business objectives for the program
Forecasts financial results and prepares variance analysis and other ad hoc analysis to support the program
Reviews forecast and other financial information with leadership and provides fact-based insight to help management interpret results and understand impacts of decisions
Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making
Identifies and implements opportunities for process improvement

Education and Experience Required

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance; advanced degree or accounting certification (eg, CPA, CMA, MBA) preferred
3 years of experience as a financial analyst; 3 years experience with MBA or 5-6 years of experience with Bachelors degree

Knowledge and Skills

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
Excellent analytical skills combined with strong business acumen
Advanced business application skills (eg, Microsoft Excel), strong modeling skills
Ability to communicate effectively and to present analytical results to influence business leaders
Good project management skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
Apptio sofware knowledge preferred
