Position Summary

At Fortive, were not looking to grow for the sake of growing Were thinking strategically about our portfolio and looking for ways to accelerate progress We monitor our operating markets and industries closely to identify opportunities for innovation, where we can build competitive advantage To accomplish this, we need leaders who can boldly set strategy and build extraordinary teams for our portfolio of operating companies As such, we are building our first in-house Executive Recruiting team to align with our strategic business objectives We are seeking an experienced, Senior Executive Talent Advisor to help build out our search capability and lead the end-to-end search process across a variety of businesses and functions As a Talent Advisor, you will develop strategic and creative ways to identify key leadership talent and invest time in activating passive candidates, all while providing exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience

The ideal candidate will have experience leading senior level searches across different business functions This person will be a strategic talent advisor to their hiring teams, coming to the table with an informed point-of view on the talent pool, interview best practices, assessment criteria and competitive market information This person will have sound professional judgement and will be able to adapt to various situations quickly and with agility

Core Responsibilities

Drive full-lifecycle executive search processes for Fortives operating companies and/or corporate functions

Partner with hiring leaders to understand business priorities Provide strategic guidance and support to deliver on talent needs

Assess candidates and make recommendations to hiring managers, drive the evaluation process and hiring decisions and support an exemplary candidate experience at every stage of the process

Advise hiring leaders on sourcing strategies, benchmark data and market/hiring trends to identify and validate external talent supply

Support the creation of a scalable in-house executive search function, including selection of tools, systems and processes

Proactively recommend and drive process improvements that impact candidate identification and engagement

Maintain reporting/tracking and analytical data regarding all facets of the leadership hiring process and pipeline

Innovate on ways to build a strong pipeline of diverse leaders for active searches and future leadership needs

This person will be responsible for both leading searches as well as the occasional partnering with search firms to effectively drive searches to completion

In partnership with compensation, provide guidance on compensation packages


Position Requirements

This opportunity could be for you if

You possess a bachelors degree and 7 years recruiting/sourcing experience with a retained search firm or in-house recruiting team focused on leadership roles, ie Senior Director level and above

You have experience recruiting for a technology company and/or key technology leadership roles

You possess expert level of knowledge in all full life-cycle recruiting components including, but not limited to, sourcing, networking, candidate assessment, compensation trends, relationship management

You are data-driven in your approach to recruiting and identifying root causes of any issues

You are results-driven with a strong sense of urgency under ever-changing circumstances
