Scope of Services Admin providing 3rd level support, build and maintenance for the Infrastructure Tools Platforms environment that includes Physical/Virtual systems, Storage, Cloud IaaS Responsible for technical shift services that include system installation, system management, support and triage of all Infrastructure Tools Platforms systems
Service Operations Provide 3rd level/SME tooling administrative support for all infrastructure tools This support must be such that server availability will be maintained at 99 PERCENT or better Support includes the following

Insuring system hardware integrity through proactive measures
Updates of operating systems when required
Implementation of all upgrades and patches when required
Responsible for testing, and documenting new configurations of infrastructure tools services

Change Management Ensure new solutions delivered by projects are fit for purpose in service and delivers the right solution to the business from a capability and cost perspective that are aligned to the AZ architecture roadmaps The role will ensure tight governance on proposed architecture changes, upgrades and process modifications

Candidate Focus & Challenge Review the standard role profile and capture some brief headlines describing what will specifically be expected of this role over the next 12 months

TCO Responsible for the definition of the architecture for each of the component services to deliver value for money to the business and to ensure alignment to their business requirements Regularly explore opportunities for technology consolidation, process improvements to ensure that greater efficiencies are gained in both technology and processes
Documentation Work with suppliers to review and ensure Technical Reference materials are current and accurate for the service teams to provide a robust service Take ownership of all governance related documents standards, policies etc to ensure standardization and simplification are gained at all levels
Support/Service Provides support to Service Managers and Suppliers during the resolution of support issues that would require significant change to the existing architecture
Capacity Management Responsible for ensuring that capacity is managed effectively through working with the Capacity Manager Takes ownership of how infrastructure tools compute capacity and reviews the process on a regular basis for service improvements
Technology governance As it relates to the Infrastructure Tools technology stack, oversees the following functions enforcing technology governance Incident & Problem management
Change management Major changes
License management
Service Improvements as it relates to technology
Infrastructure lifecycle management

Candidate Knowledge, Skills & Experience Review the standard role profile and capture any additional critical knowledge, skill and experience demands relative to this specific role

7 years demonstrated experience in operations, engineering, design and implementation of infrastructure tools
4 years experience in handling server operations functions like server administration, monitoring patching, reporting, incident management, problem management, capacity management etc
Demonstrated experience in leading technology areas for business projects and internal service improvement efforts
Create, lead and/or support the Platform lifecycle management process to ensure the infrastructure stays current from the vendor support standpoint and also that it delivers cost efficient solutions
Ability to work well in diverse, multinational teams and proven ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes is essential
Flexible to work in different shifts to support 24*7 operations
An ability to work effectively in a matrix organization is essential
A self-starter with high levels of drive, energy, resilience and a desire for professional excellence
Ability to analyze requests or issues and provide the best possible solution
Ability to prioritize, re-schedule or adapt to changes
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) is an absolute requirement
