Job Summary Director, Global Sales Performance

Global Sales Performance is a strategic focus of EDB and is intended to ensure clear alignment and focus of all functions that support the sales motion The Director, Global Sales Performance will be responsible to ensure that the global field team is effectively enabled, supported and integrated into all systems and process to drive optimal field performance Areas requiring effective alignment with the field sales team are Field Marketing, Field Enablement, Systems and Process Support, Professional Services, Product Marketing and Customer Success

The position requires a leader who is passionate about seller performance and has proven success in a sales, enablement and sales tools capacity The Director is a well-rounded individual who has excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills The role requires a proven ability to work with functional leaders and the field team to optimize all sales support functions, as well as working with Senior Management to influence sales model considerations It will be necessary to understand and incorporate key geographic needs, excellent project management, and broad execution capabilities A strong ability to drive, collaborate and manage a wide range of initiatives is a must

This role will report to the Senior Vice President of Global Sales, and will participate as a member of the Field Leadership Team

Job Responsibilities

Learn and align with the needs of the field for optimized performance
Systems and Processes Learn and understand chosen technologies
Ensure that systems and process are set up in a way to optimize field performance

Field Marketing Learn and understand the type of content and marketing plays available
Ensure that the content and activities of Field Marketing align with the objectives of the regions

Product Marketing Learn and understand the messaging and positioning offered to the field
Ensure that the messaging and positioning is understood, embraced and effective to optimize field performance

Field Enablement Learn and understand the type of enablement content and delivery tools available
Ensure that content and tools are appropriate to optimize field performance

Regional Field Alignment Learn and understand unique GTM differences with each of our 4 primary Regions (NA Commercial, NA Public Sector, APJ and EMEA)
Learn and understand our complex Channels and Alliance model
Ensure that all field direct and channels personnel are aligned for optimal performance

Act as the champion for the field when working with each of the supporting functions to ensure that the field performance is optimized
Learn and understand the necessary offerings and positioning necessary for the field to successfully position and sell EDB offerings
Effectively project manage all aspects of Field Sales Performance in order to create global consistency, best practices and optimal performance
Properly consider and suggest changes and improvements to sales leadership for implementation


Must be a strategic thinker who can take initiative and think outside the box in order to add additional value to programs and projects
Ability to influence and guide implementation, approach and practice of programs and model
Ability to collaborate and develop positive business relationships with all crossfunctional areas within EDB and with peers
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Motivated selfstarter with exceptional organizational skills
Must be a multitasker that can handle multiple projects at once
Ability to understand and interpret the strategy, and apply it to the tactical actions that are necessary to execute
Good follow up and drive to complete
Prior experience in all aspects of sales Individual Contributor, Sales Manager, Trainer/Coach, Sales Operations, GTM Design and implementation
Integrity, attitude and energy to drive all actions to completion

Desired Skills

Experience as an individual sales contributor
Experience as a sales manager
Experience in channels sales
Experience training or enabling field sellers
Experience with SFcom, Marketo and Clari
