About The Opportunity

The Senior Cost Accountant directs activities of product costing, product manufacturing analysis, and inventory valuation The position provides recommendations to senior management in support of

the achievement of company goals

Key Responsibilities

Prepare the Product Result Analysis Report which breaks the P&L into the applicable product groups

Prepare actual vs plan (budget) analysis Prepare various financial analysis related to manufacturing cost, inventory and expense information for various customers as needed for decision making support

Set up new raw material, packaging, WIP, and FG items; create and maintain production BOMs;maintain

Periodic costs rolls/updates

Responsible for the calculation and posting of all inventory Standard Cost for finished and semi-finished parts

Calculate all production rates for machines (labor and machine)

Reviewing all BOMs for correct component costing and cost settings

Reviewing all Routings for correct settings to insure that all standards are being costed using the correct Routing

Loading all machine and labor rates into the corresponding machine cost centers in SAP

Making any changes to the Overhead rates in SAP through configuration in DEV, transporting into QAS, and then into PRD

Calculating new standard costs for finished and semi-finished product annually, providing management with the variance analysis prior to posting the new rates, and once approved, posting the new standards

iDash - responsible for the input of all machine related data that will be used to calculate the new CoRates for input into

Annual budgeting duties as required iDash will require input as well

Assist with Annual Inventory

Participate in the actual inventory process ticket control, keying into Access and transferring into SAP

Verify postings have occurred and variances were as expected

Provide detailed inventory data analysis to auditors as required based on test samples

Daily material maintenance

Maintaining accurate settings for costing and ledger postings

Resolving issues before material movements occur (if possible)

Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products and service

Manage and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory evaluation

Assigning estimated standard cost for any new finished or semi-finished materials

Periodic review of CK11N Standard Cost calculations for all materials currently for sale to ensure correct costing Any material deviations are reseaqrched and resolved

Creating and Maintaining all cost centers in SAP (3 clients) and iDash currently working on verifying that all are mapped correctly and reporting is accurate

Assign for all Machines (work with maintenance on the Cost Center hierarcy for all machines)

SAP Cost Centers are maintained (current method)

iDash Cost Centers are maintained on the current level, as well as mapped to a Cost Center Level 3

Review all Machine Requisition/Movement forms to assure the correct cost centers are being used, and approve once verified

Work with IT regarding issues arising with SAP, research any configuration changes and implement them if they apply to this role

Assist with SAP testing as needed for upgrade projects

Develop and provide management with any analysis/data as requested

Responsible for communicating when there is an issue affecting the Environment, Health, Safety or Quality to his / her respective Manager

Skills and Experience Required

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance

Hands on ERP experience (SAP)

5 years of accounting experience - preferably costing

3 years of operational experience, especially with inventory

Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail

Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions

Strong grasp of GAAP accounting and general accounting concepts

Advanced excel skills, especially advanced financial modeling and analytical techniques

Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate complex processes
