We are looking for a Senior Products Manager Primary Lead International Casualty In this role, you will support a critical global initiative in delivering product development, compliance management, and underwriting leadership that maximizes earnings for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions You will serve as the principal technical underwriting expert for US primary policy coverage and forms issues in a multi-national business unit In cooperation with country leaders and underwriting managers around the world, you will help ensure that the US exposures for foreign domiciled insureds are underwritten and processed efficiently and responsibly KPIs for this role are strongly aligned with International Programs

About the Team The Senior Products Manager supports the Head, Products Casualty North America, in close cooperation with other Regional Casualty Heads, in developing and recommending product (including growth) strategies/tactics, and assists in their execution You will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including developing and implementing new products and coverage enhancements; developing and implementing appropriate underwriting standards and processes to guide product changes; acting as referral body for highly technical underwriting issues; building and maintaining the training curriculum and delivering effective training directly to the underwriters; supporting internal underwriting audits and creates relevant process/underwriting improvements based on results

About the Role Underwriting & Product Management

You will make underwriting and product acceptability decisions within assigned authority; manage the escalation of referrals as appropriate and lead engagement and collaboration with global underwriters

You will work with Contracts, Claims and Legal on development and revision of policy coverage parts and forms, including manuscript forms You will direct prioritization of support teams filing calendar and closely track industry and market shifts in respect to current and emerging casualty coverages In additionm you will monitor key ISO casualty forms developments, analyze industry and ISO developments, and formulate the appropriate Casualty North America response

You will provide recommendations for optimizing interaction between producing underwriters and US underwriters on individual deals, given challenges unique to international business

You will lead underwriting decision-making for policy administration system improvements

Ensure local underwriting standards are compliant with Group Underwriting standards and consistent with global objectives

Manage a small team, currently one direct report reverse flow underwriter position

Lead underwriting audits for US reverse flow business and is responsible for implementation of actions/findings

Represent Casualty Products in discussions and projects related to both domestic US and international primary business

Identify underwriting training needs; develop/execute training plans in support of regional underwriters, with principal focus on training on coverages and emerging topics; provide training and communication on industry product trends

Ensure that underwriters skills profiles are used to foster professional development

About You A 4-year college degree is required; industry designations such as CPCU, IIA, and/or ARM are desired
Demonstrated casualty expertise through 10 years of casualty underwriting experience, preferably both primary and excess casualty underwriting
Deep knowledge of policy wording and regulatory filing procedures, including ISO forms and rates
Product Development experience strongly preferred
Strong problem solving and process management capabilities
Ability to work in a multi-cultural, remote/virtual team environment; must be self-motivated
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to develop written communications material suitable for a diverse remote audience
Familiarity with collaborative communication/documentation platforms (ie SharePoint)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
