About the opportunity

Purpose of the Role

As a member of the Business Process Management Team, this role will work to progress Fidelitys BPM agenda and embed innovation, working with the business to design, develop and run automated solutions to maximise business benefits

Specifically, this role will work with the business and the project team to complete the detailed analysis to implement the new process on to the BPM solutions

Key Responsibilities

To understand the business problem and propose a business solution using various business analysis tools
Ensure completeness in requirements and consider all exception scenarios while dealing with stakeholders
Run requirement workshops and manage requirements and communication with stakeholders Work with stakeholders to define, analyse and document requirements
Capture & clarification of business requirements through a range of analysis techniques
Providing direct input into project timelines, estimation, action plans & risk management procedures whilst delivering sound delivery strategies & phased approaches to meet business need
Acting as a proxy customer with the development teams, facilitating open communication between the customer & development team
Driving & reviewing test scripts for both system integration and user acceptance Driving user acceptance criteria with the customer
Monitor current business analysis working practices and take the initiative to advise & follow-through on suitable & pragmatic continuous improvements
Interact & work with third party partners and suppliers as required
Manage scope (and scope creeps), change requests, user acceptance, installations and deployments
To manage prioritisation and implementation of configuration changes (for process improvements) via the agreed configuration methodology and FILs Change Management process
Ability to translate business requirements to optimum workflow solutions, adhering to BPM standards and guidelines
Prioritise requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups
To do effective stakeholder management where necessary
Leads the development team & Initiatives to ensure that proposed design meets requirements, best practices and enterprise quality standards
Plan handovers and design controls around processes, wherever applicable
Support in resolving and interfacing integration issues with other teams
Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team
To complete a post implementation review detailing and measuring the key improvements delivered
Provide status reporting of team activities against various projects/change requests
Keep the project manager and product committee informed of task accomplishment, issues and status
To be an ambassador for BPM in FIL UK may be called upon to help with wider BPM initiatives
Provide post implementation support to all configuration changes

Experience and Qualifications

5 to 7 years of Experience
BE/ B-Tech / MCA / M-Tech

Essential Skills

Essential Skills

An understanding of the principles of workflow and business process management solutions (eg Appian, Pega, Oracle BPM, etc),
Excellent written and verbal communication
Lateral thinking, Innovation and process improvement experience will be an added advantage
Self- starter and a sense of pro activeness
Proven business analysis and project co-ordination experience
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to understand complex issues, gather and analyse data into trends / results, structure problems and design solutions
Willing to work flexible, unsociable hours sometimes and potentially travel if needed
Awareness of Process Modelling tools (eg Case Wise, V-modeller, MS Visio etc)
Key competencies will include Leadership skills, Analytical Expertise, Stakeholder Management & High Quality Orientation

Desirable Skills

Understanding of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies used for process improvement
Ability to conduct Cost/Benefit analysis
Exposure to electronic data capture (eg Kofax) and reporting tools (eg Power BI, Tableau)

Personal Characteristics

Exposure to the Finance/Mutual Fund industry would be an advantage
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Strong team player
Ability to work at a strategic and tactical level
Ability to convey strong messages in a polite but firm manner
Self-motivation is essential, should demonstrate commitment to high quality design and development
Ability to develop & maintain working relationships with a number of stakeholders
Flexibility and an open attitude to change
Problem solving skills with the ability to think laterally, and to think with a medium term and long term perspective
Ability to learn and quickly get familiar with a complex business and technology environment

Business Process Management is a newly formed, dynamic and exciting multi-skilled team that that will design, build and execute an BPM strategy using a range of BPM, process reporting and analytics, and process discovery solutions
