Role

This role is responsible for managing the team to ensure timely & accurate delivery of BAU and Ad-hoc tasks in Wholesale CRRP teams as per the requirements of CRRP UK teams The individual will be in charge of the management of multiple teams as part of the roles responsibilities

What The Business Does

Risk Analytics and Models, as part of a team extension model, supports the global teams and is responsible for annual reviews and redevelopment of the credit models and operational scorecards, support for data aligned to risk analytics activities including loss data reconciliation and model performance assessment using statistical techniques

Your Responsibilities

Manage Wholesale Provisioning teams and ensure the teams work in tandem to deliver value added reports Monthly planning (priorities, resources, timeliness etc) delivery to UK team/Stakeholders and share the plan with them and secure their buy-in; Collect periodic feedback to be used during the mid-year and final appraisal for people in the team and leading the weekly/fortnightly status calls with the UK team manager

Working under the leadership of both the VP in Chennai and UK-based managers, ensuring delivery of all CRRP tasks as per timelines and accuracy agreed Extract data from various sources using multiple extraction tools, Data manipulation and accurately present data as per stakeholder requirements; Take initiative and support development of ad-hoc MI which enables decision support (Regional/Sector MI) Be supporting Provisioning Methodology reviews as and when required by Onshore team

Monitor timeliness and accuracy as per Operating Model and SLA and track & mitigate errors Take care of action planning to ensure that errors are not repeated through coaching and development Identify timelines and accuracy risks, highlight and mitigate these risks; Delivery of all milestones to agreed dates, budget and quality standards with effective engagement with relevant stakeholders

Supervision and quality assurance of the work undertaken and produced by analysts along with the tracking of progress; escalation as required to ensure delivery according to plan requirements Identify timelines and accuracy risks, highlight and mitigate these risks Close engagement with leaders in India and UK to ensure alignment of team priorities/activities with broader plans and requirements

Identify areas of process improvement and actively participate in department-wide process improvement initiatives Ensure the team members record the process improvements and get sign off from the UK team

BCM build the BCP document, get a buy-in from client and stakeholders and conduct WAR tests to assess BCM readiness Create Back-up for reports/tasks in wholesale team and vice versa for Business Transfer during BCP situations Maintain the call tree and update that regularly

Identify key operational risk indicators and work on the risk mitigation plan, ensure process maps are up to date and obtain relevant sign offs, and build a strong control framework which meets Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and also those of the Banks external auditors, EY

Ensure compliance with bank wide loss impairment policies including compliance with formal Governance requirements Maintain and document key methodology assumptions and proposals in support of the IFRS9 provisions workstrand, sharing lessons learned across the Restructuring & Provisioning and wider Credit Risk Teams

Be responsible for coaching, mentoring, developing and leading teams and for hiring, on-boarding Take ownership for the performance management of the team; Proactive identification and effective management and/or escalation of conduct risk to deliver key customer outcomes Own and develop the risk and control mechanisms for the business to use to discharge its responsibilities, independently overseeing and challenging effective management of risks and controls within agreed risk appetites

Provide expert support, advice, management information and escalation to leaders and the business on risk management This role also has standard accountabilities for management & supervision within their own department

The Skills That You Need

Post Graduation in Finance Discipline (MSc/MBA in Finance)/CA with 9 years of experience in MIS Reporting specifically in Finance/Banking related roles and at least 3 years of experience in People Management

Preferred Upto 9 years of experience in Risk/Problem Debt/Provisions reporting Risk Management
