Job Description

The designer will be part of a multi-functional product development team The candidate will work on the design of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits and the top assembly of these circuits in a RF transceiver Major job scope are as follows
Evaluate circuit topologies and design, layout, post-layout of analog and mixed-signal circuits This also includes developing calibration schemes to ensure robust performance for high-volume production
Contribute novel ideas to companys IP portfolio
Collaborate with various design teams (applications, system, software, baseband, digital) to define/review circuit and calibration design specifications
Document and perform reviews on circuit topologies, schematic design, post-layout simulation and verification
Layout critical blocks and/or supervise layout
Conduct lab measurement and debug, root cause analysis and design-vs-silicon correlation
Provide support for tape-out verification and production

Job Requirements

Minimum MSEE with 5 years or PhD with 2 years of relevant industry experience
Hands-on experience in designing various analog and mixed signal integrated circuits such as high speed ADCs, DACs, wideband filters, amplifiers, LDO, reference circuits, oscillators, switched-capacitors circuits, I/O drivers etc, in deep submicron technologies
Verilog-A/Verilog AMS behavioral modeling
Able to comprehend RF transceiver system requirements and translate them into circuit level specifications
Deep understanding of analog circuit design techniques, sub-micron CMOS device physics and modeling, on-chip passives modeling, impedance matching, packaging effects, supply isolations and high speed analog/mixed-signal layout techniques
Familiar with IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, SpectreRF, ADS, EMX, Virtuoso Layout, Calibre DRC/LVS/PEX, Matlab and Verilog-A/Verilog AMS
Direct experience in IC bring up, debug and characterization using lab equipment
Self-driven, excellent problem solving and analytical skills, good communication skills and a strong team player
Local and international travel may be required
