Role Overview

This position is for an experienced professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise who leads in the supply and demand planning process, and is responsible for making significant improvements of processes, systems, and products to enhance performance of work area and team Works with internal and external team leaders to develop inventory & financial forecasts

Primary Responsibilities

Leads in the development of strategies for materials planning and SIOP
Spearheads the development of standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP in order to optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery
Collaborates with product development leaders and sales and marketing team leaders to develop demand forecasts
Contributes to the planning of capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operations
Facilitates with manufacturing team leaders and leads in the development of monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters
Analyzes and leads in the development of new technologies to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, and reliability
Spearheads tracking of appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement
Leads in the development of processes and plans to improve supply capabilities
Guides in establishing clear and robust metrics to measure progress through process improvements for SIOP
Creates and executes plan for every part and maintain master data for purchased parts, sub-assemblies, end items and other parts as required
Participates in the capacity management process, including identification and escalation of long term capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SI&OP
Executes continuous management of the master demand schedule, including adherence to all required validations using the best information available, in order to provide long range OE and aftermarket demand visibility in support of financial planning, internal and external capacity management, and the overall SI&OP process
Monitors the transportation and delivery of inter/intraplant parts and outbound finished products
Tracks and manages inter/intraplant work in process (WIP), promise dating, expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow
May oversee command center and drive part shortage resolution
Monitors tracking and shipping
Performs escalated expediting when required to ensure on time delivery of material
Mitigates risks for short term shortages with internal suppliers to ensure successful customer delivery

Preparation and data analysis of the Monthly Inventory Presentations for the programs in the Airbus Portfolio

Support of Production control activities across all manufacturing sites
Act as MDP approver and creator
Subcontracting supplier support for BOMs, transactional entries, inventory accuracy which include yearly physical counts


Education Qualifications

Bachelors degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR
Advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required

Basic Qualifications

ERP/SAP experience in a Production / Operations environment
Experience with ERP / SAP reports
Advanced user of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Utilize formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc in order to manipulate data

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a Materials role, preferably in Inventory or Materials Management or Operations
Change Agent with ability to explain and drive change across the business
Ability to recognize patterns and make connections from the data
Strong Analytic and problem solving skills
Analyze and find root cause for variances
Create clear / concise presentations
Able to analyze own processes for continuous improvement opportunities
Experience communicator with ability to lead meetings
Must be able to present analysis to Senior Management and peers clearly and concisely, tailoring the message to the audience
Must be able to work with different Sites, Programs and functional groups to gather information and execute on plans
