About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists to join Jacobs in a key Sales Analyst role supporting our high performing Sales Division The primary focus will be on analysing data to optimise sales results; accurately forecast and report on business initiatives This position will maintain a suite of tools in support of these objectives and deliver insights, make recommendations and implement them to assist the business achieve related KPIs

We are looking not only for someone with strong analytical skills, but equally someone who is confident in taking ownership for quality sales analysis and an effective communicator able to engage with and manage various stakeholders We are flexible with the type of engagement and open to discussing either a fixed term contract or permanent full time role with you Ideally youll be available for an immediate start

Your key areas of responsibility will include the following tasks

Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Director, Sales Operations for the Jacobs Asia-Pacific Buildings & Infrastructure business, you will be responsible for supporting a regional sales team with reporting, analysis and financial insight You will be a commercially focused Analyst with experience in partnering with sales teams Key to the success in this role will be your strong communication and presentation skills; have a positive, proactive manner coupled with a customer-centric mentality and strong analytical methodologies are all highly sought after attributes as you will regularly work with key stakeholders to both gain input and communicate business decisions

Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

Sales reporting and analysis by geography and selling unit (partially-automated) Gather data from various Jacobs systems and develop reports using defined metrics including pipeline, win/lost, win rates, sales cost/ ROI and expenditure on weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual cycles Use Jacobs systems and processes to develop reports and analyse efficiency, model and establish metrics across the business to achieve commercial targets Present recommendations for business or process/efficiency improvement and produce documentation to support business recommendations

CRM management manage data quality and coordinate regional maintenance of the corporate opportunity management system (Salesforce)
Budget preparation Coordinate the budget effort with the VP Sales, prepare budget worksheets for each selling unit, gather information, head count, spend etc Develop analytical sales reports to feed management reporting Support presentations for Quarterly Forecast and Yearly Business Planning cycles by gathering data and interfacing with Sales in the development and preparation of the business review presentations and reports
New employee induction and training Lead training and introductions for sales and consulting staff to CRM, sales systems and processes

About you

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate

Previous experience working in an analytical role
Experience partnering with Sales & Marketing is a must
The ability to think creatively in order to produce business insights
The ability to use analytical insights in conjunction with local knowledge sourced from various stakeholders to achieve business objectives
Advanced Excel skills
Advanced CRM skills (Microsoft Dynamics, Vision, SalesForce or similar)
SQL and Oracle skills will be highly regarded
Process driven, strong time management, attention to detail and organisation skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders
